A Thai husband has given himself up to the Mueang Nong Khai police in the north east of Thailand after a horrific murder.

While his wife was out getting him some cigarettes he saw a Line message from another man. When she returned he murdered her.

Then he rode off to the cops on the same motorcycle.

Nong Khai police and forensics officers initially were called to a one story row of rented rooms on the Nong Khai to Phon Phisai Road.

Outside room #9 was Sawai, 41, who was face up and had been stabbed multiple times. There was a bloodstained 5" kitchen knife at the scene.

A witness called Thanaphol, just 15, said he saw the victim return on a motorcycle then her husband came out of the room, kicked her off the bike, straddled her and stabbed her repeatedly. He then fled on the bike.

Sawai had four serious chest wounds and 12 other defensive and other stab wounds.

Back at the police station Thanom, 51, the husband, gave himself up and was interviewed by station chief Pol Col Kasem Muthaporn.

He said that he had met Sawai on Facebook a year ago and they lived together for ten months. They sold Som Tam.

But two months ago she moved out to live on her own and started going out "here and there".

While he was visiting her he asked her to go out and get him some cigarettes. She left her phone on the side, reported Daily News.

While she was gone she got a Line message and out of curiosity he read it and discovered that the other person was a man and they were calling each other "mia jaa - phua jaa (sweet talking terms between a wife and husband).

This set him off.

So he grabbed a kitchen knife and waited for her to return.

When she did it was as the witness had described.

Thanom said he had never committed a crime before.

He was completely unrepentant saying:

"I'm not sorry at all - let that be a lesson to women not to be unfaithful to their husbands".

He was booked for premeditated murder and detained.

One needs to question the effect of all the 'Ka', 'Khap',  and 'Wai's' in Thailand.

Just curious to see if the elimination of all these signs of respect would result in fewer or more of these 'lethal misunderstandings'.

Surely the absence of fathers in so many households might not account for all these males that behave like children in temper tantrums.

Oh well, just appears to me that all these marks of respect are not doing in Thailand what they were intended to do...

Clearly another man child! Thai males are spoilt as babies spoilt as teenagers and expect to be spoilt as adults even when their girlfriends move out. They take no responsibility for their actions and expect to be looked after all their lives by former girlfriends wives relatives in-laws and even their own parents and children.. If they don't get attention they react with violence akin to a toddler often drink or drug initiated and blame everyone else for their actions.

Wow. My experience has been the exact opposite.

Show respect to people in general, and Thais in particular - then you will not need to know:

"Never underestimate your opponent" "Smith and Wesson made everyone equal" "A quick kick to the testicles will floor any man" Use your teeth" "Focus on the Eyes, throat, and the aforementioned testes" "Always anticipate the presence of a knife." and "Broken bottles are deadly weapons." In other words, one guy goes to the hospital/morgue, and the other goes to prison.

So this woman had moved out and lived on her own and this guy comes to her place

then snoops at her messages as she goes to get him some smokes.  Why do Thai women trust the people

like this jerk, when they had already moved away for what ever reason.

This jerk deserves the death penalty.  And the Thai government should serve him the penalty quickly.

Geezer

Here in the moo ban, there's a house with a young lady, grandma, grandpa, and at least five teenage boys running around. They are useless. I never see them doing any chores or going to work amidst the Covid school shutdown. All day long they hang about, occasionally screaming about something while clutching their phones, together on some online game.

The official word is that she's babysitting, or they're friends from other houses that come to play together. Nah, I think they're all hers, and the father(s) is/are never around. Now and then a BF might drop by, and take her out to do some, uh, business.

In my family, the in laws work hard on their farm. I've asked my wife, doesn't their family have one? She said yeah, quite big. Why not put the boys to some work? Rainy season's coming and we've been hustling. She doesn't have a answer. Our family doesn't have any boys their age. Whenever I see the fam working hard I often comment, man, too bad your siblings didn't have any boys. She said nah, they'd just end up like the neighbors, or on ya ba.

There is no Protestant work ethic, and no Catholic guilt.

Living together does not mean you are married.

Death sentence asap to serve as a lesson to Thai men not to murder their ex girlfriends.
