What does everyone now use thet adobe flash player has been retired

Featured Replies

trying to find a replacement for adobe flash player but so far have not been able to, what has everyone used to replace it

I never watch flash videos offline with a standalone flash player.

So you do?

Or what is the question about?

Everyone?

I never felt the need to look for an alternative to flash player.

It's mainly a headache/pressure to the website operators.

What are you trying to do? Only some ancient websites might still have some Flash elements on them, but using those website is probably not important.

I guess you've stored some older media files or play DVDs on your PC.

I use VLC Media Player for all that. Works great.

often when reading news sites etc when you click on the video attached it wont play, flash player used to play them but now its no longer functioning nothing happens. I have players for movies etc but they dont play the ones that are inserted in the news articles

a lot of porn websites were using Flash and FLV format for their streaming, also a great format to download "virus" and trojans while users were too busy [w...] on those pretty girls ????

All news sites should use HTML5 for streaming videos. Can you post an example link?

Do you use an adblocker? Maybe the adblocker thinks the video is an advertisement.

What OS are you using, and what age is your browser ~ Netscape?

Flash player is officially dead, up to date browsers use HTML5 to stream content.

Mercy, me.   I wish I had that problem.  I can't get the blasted embedded videos to stop on the news sites, etc.
