Video: What not to do at a level crossing - especially with a load on the back!

A video posted on a news site from Samut Prakan in Thailand showed some entertaining CCTV from a level crossing.

A motorcycle rider - like many miscreants in Thailand - thought it would be a jolly good idea to get ahead of the pack by nipping under the barrier.

However, on this occasion he was not creamed by a passing express.

But the load on the back of his bike hit the barrier behind the rider causing him to rear up helplessly like a mechanical praying mantis.

Fortunately no train came as about five fellow riders who were obeying the rules came to his rescue.

Channel 7 reported that ignoring a barrier at a crossing like this can warrant a fine of 500 baht.

This is why I have a dash-cam.

This is the sort of idiot who will jump a red light and get cleaned out, meanwhile I’m facing the automatic charge of dangerous driving because someone was killed..... The dash-cam is essential in Thailand as the total and utter <deleted><kwittery can neither be explained or believed without video evidence...

It's funny how Thais drive so impatiently and so inconsiderately to other drivers, but when I'm going to meet someone, they are always late.

I wonder which in the new category this will fall under - Scary or dangerous driving, brain not yet engaged etc. ..................LOL

A daily occurrence, my neck of the woods, it's quite hilarious to watch what happens when the barriers come down, those who can't wait and duck under or go around them, and the "Le-mans" start when it goes up.

It's like the scene from "Braveheart" when two opposing armies charge at each other.

They always in a hurry to go to sleep.

Come on guys! He checked for oncoming trains before going under the barrier and making an a*s of himself. Something of a miracle, that.

So when did the train actually pass through? From the start of the video people were already waiting and the video played for another minute with still no train. All the while traffic will be backing up.

It's no wonder some are going to do this if they have to wait 5 minutes for the train to turn up.

The best bit was when he fell backwards and hit his head on the barrier, good job he had a helmet on 555

Not only in Thailand!

Same thing happened in Hua Hin 2 years ago. An old lady came across the tracks and fell down with her

motorcicyle. Another guy and I ran out and dragged her bike off the tracks and she got clear just before

a high speed express train came past. I told her she was ngo Kwai, and she agreed.

Geezer
