This involves something called "Seal Approaches" and what Sophon called "Seal Rote" - we presume this was a typo for "route" as seals are not normally spotted on the eastern seaboard.

I'm sure it was a typo.

But I think he meant "Seal Roti" and not "Seal Route".

Sophon will lure the Chinese visitors with a new delicacy, seal served with an Indian twist.

Maybe they tote these sealed routes so as to prevent tourists catching covid. Can you imagine tourists travelling outside a controlled area and coming down with covid, it would be " but, but, but, your figures showed no covid infections in that area...."

More like a kitty litter box, ya think?

"What is wrong with these people?"

I think TV limits answers to no more than 10,000 words.... ????

We all know how on time these really run so an October target will most likely be sometime Q1 2022. There won't be much to come back to by then, sorry.

I wouldn't mind Chonburi  being sealed off now. Who knows what damage is being done by those visiting from  Bangkok?

Of concern is the sinovac's effectiveness against new variants of covid.  That has the potential to take Thailand back to square one,  circa 2020.

Can you imagine any Travel Insurance Company issuing any kind of Policy to people who are corralled such as this.

Go outside the safe Zone and the Policy is Voided.

They're gonna be sorely disappointed when they get here, I bet all the old sweats on board have been regaling the new guys of times past in a happy Pattaya, what they going to see when they get here  ? For sale signs and shutters plus big holes in walking street ????????????

get vaccine rollout caught up with the rest of the world then there will be no need to restrict anyone as long as they have been fully vaccinated with an effective vaccine.

Biggest problem I see going forward is that current vaccines are found to be ineffective against any new variants that come along - then you are back to square one.

Fully vaccinated foreigners should not be being resticted or held in one location, Thai people in Phuket vaccinated or not are free to leave the Island yet fully vaccinated foreigners on holiday are not - who exactly is the problem here - the fully vaccinated foreigners ?

Because,..........................

Firstly, they have to ' eye a move ' on what to do. They then move to stage two which is to ' mull it over ' then they move to stage three where they have a meeting about having a committee meeting. Stage four is the committee meeting whereby they ' eye ' and ' mull ' the proposals, ALL AT THE SAME TIME, and submit a report.

By the time this is done, Prayut has changed his mind, Prawit doesn't care because he's out buying new watches and Anutin only cares about foreigners ' wearing masks '

Then they pass it out and on to Immigration for their committee to ' mull it over '  if they can catch them in as they are usually out in their high tech BMWs catching foreigners who were late filing their 90 day reports or preparing Phuket for ' sandbox arrivals '

It's simple really!

If they dont open the clubs, bars, and allow alcohol NOBODY IS COMING. The isaan angles won’t come back and tourists will vote wit their feet.

this is by design though, and every “plan” is just window dressing to mask the real plan which is slow starvation of the farang oriented tourist industry
