Southern Thailand – Two German nationals were arrested in the southern provinces of Thailand today, July 6th, 2021, after being wanted by an Interpol Red Notice for allegedly being involved in drug trafficking in European countries.

Immigration police commissioner Sompong Chingduang announced today, July 6th, that the Immigration police has captured fugitives Alex K., 42, in Koh Phangan of Surat Thani and Alexander W., 38, in Phuket after they were wanted by the German authorities for an alleged drug trafficking case.

Upon the arrest, a 42-year-old Russian national, Victor T., who was also discovered at the scene of one of the two arrested men and described by Immigration police as an associate of the men, was caught with cannabis and charged with possession of category 5 of narcotics.

Amazing Thailand, if and when plod here want red notices do work.

Yet when they are paid off, they dont work, and they wonder why plod here are the laughing stock of the world.

Pretty sure if they really wanted and spent a weekend checking people in bars etc they would find a lot more people wanted abroad !

I can't imagine that Interpol is issuing warrants for 10g of grass. They were wanted in Germany for significant charges. Does anyone have a matching report from the German press?

There it is, wondered how long it would take.

Bye Bye Adolf and Ivan.

At least they will get a German prison sentence as opposed to a medieval Thai prison.

PHUKET: Two German nationals who were wanted on an Interpol red notice and who are alleged to be the leaders of a major European drug trafficking network have been apprehended by Thai police.

One of the men, 38-year-old Alexander W. was arrested at a house near Rawai beach in Phuket yesterday (July 6). The other, 42-year-old Alex K. who holds dual German-Russian nationality, was intercepted at a villa in Koh Phangan, Surat Thani.

Both had fled Interpol arrest warrants in their homeland several years ago and had been living in Thailand as fugitives ever since.

Just goes to show red notices work, when issued. When issued....

You mean like if the plod issue one for the "red bull case". It seems to me that his notice will be issued 24 hours after the crime reaches the statute of limitations and can no longer be prosecuted. Shameful the way that this has blatently played out.

Article in US news with two alleged suspects picture not blurred.

Scumbag parasites ... lock em up n throw the keys away!

My understanding after a recent Thai court ruling is if you are involved in drug trafficking abroad then you are free of any charges or convictions in Thailand.  It never happened
