Suspected intoxicated Korean driver crashes his pickup truck into Si Racha power pole

Si Racha – A Korean driver, who is suspected by Nong Kham police of having been intoxicated, slammed his pickup truck into a power pole in Si Racha over the past weekend.

 

The Nong Kham Police was notified of the accident just before the past weekend around 8:00 P.M. on the Si Racha – Laem Chabang Road in Nong Kham.

 

Emergency responders and associated local Thai media arrived at the scene to find a heavily damaged pickup truck impacted into a power pole.

This happened in the dark, and from what I read, could have even been Friday night.

How can the police still only 'suspect' the driver was drunk? Or are they waiting for 'negotiations' to complete the breath test?

They drive these agricultural vehicles far too fast for their own (and the vehicle's) ability.

 

The manufacturers must take some responsibility too for marketing these vehicles as sports able with all the decals and advertising.

In the UK it's usually trees that jump in front of cars,  but in Thailand the trees are more sensible

Power poles are a favorite target of Thai drunks and now Koreans! Soon power poles in Thailand will be on the endangered species list.

Maybe they should hang old tires on power poles to protect them...
