If you meant dying less likely than winning lottery then it's a valid point.

On topic , vaccinating makes you also less sick and faster recovered , and also makes chance less that you give it to other who might die . And also , the sooner this 1 goes away the higher the chance everything going to be back to normal , tourism would be able to return , less chance of dying of poverty . 1

Yes it is: Asymptomatic coronavirus infections contribute to over 50% of spread, according to UChicago study Asymptomatic transmission of COVID-19 contributed significantly to community spread in New York City during the initial phase of the pandemic, according to a new paper from a team of researchers at the University of Chicago. The research, published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences on February 10, reinforces the continued importance for all people, regardless of symptom status, to follow public health guidance to curb spread of the coronavirus. In the first mathematical model to incorporate data on daily changes in testing capacity, the research team found that only 14% to 20% of COVID-19 individuals showed symptoms of the disease and that more than 50% of community transmission was from asymptomatic and pre-symptomatic cases. https://www.uchicagomedicine.org/forefront/coronavirus-disease-covid-19/asymptomatic-coronavirus-infections-contribute-to-over-50-percent-of-spread 1 1 1

That is the main reason why COVID has been so hard to control. SARS showed symptoms immediately and was possible to track, trace and isolate. That is why it was limited in it's spread and COVID is not. "According to the World Health Organization (WHO), a total of 8,098 people worldwide became sick with SARS during the 2003 outbreak. smylee52
In a country where they ride motorbikes without wearing helmets ,drive cars without putting on their seatbelts and pile the extended family into the open box of the pick up truck the notion of prevention is not widely accepted . In a country of 70 millions people, when only 7 millions people get covid, who are the idiots ? the ones who got it or the 63 millions who didn't get it ? Wearing a mask reduces one's odds of catching covid. But they actually are more protective of the mask wearer passing it on to others. And washing hands and other measures may improve yours chances of not catching it, but they don't eliminate the risk entirely. And not everyone can afford to avoid situations where it's more likely one can be infected with covid. 1
Popular Post Kevin Taylor
The kid is right, not sure where the age cutoff is but there is one where the vaccine is more dangerous to the young than covid. We are supposed to be the responsible adults here. If everyone in danger are vaccinated that's it, they have protection, the kid already has protection via a kids immune system. Don't force children to take unnecessary risks so old people can feel safer. 5 1
