I got my first vol visa last year. Was good for 1 year with 3 90 day check ins.

 

I'm coming up on expiration. Curious if others have gotten a second one in country without having to do a border run? That's what I did last year without a hitch.

They probably got an Extension of their permission to stay, rather than a new Visa. 

I think this place is going into a full Lock soon.

I doubt they'll be any international flights.

 

 

You apparently have a one year extension of stay (it is not a visa) based upon working with a organization as a volunteer.

You could apply for another one extension with supporting documents from the organization. No need to leave the country to do that.

OP, did you use an agent to obtain a non o (volunteering) along with a 12 month extension.

If you did your best to talk with agent.

Be aware that you could use 60day covid extensions. 

Given current situation they should be continued.
