Police will set up a committee to investigate sergeant after road rage incident - no favors says chief

The chief of police in Samut Prakan province Pol Maj-Gen Chumphon Phumphuang spoke to INN concerning the case of a policeman with a gun and a man on an arrest warrant clambering on the roof of a Civic and slashing with a sword in an apparent road rage incident in Prawet district of Bangkok. 

 

The Maj-Gen said that the chief of the Bang Poo police told him that the senior sergeant major was only in an administrative role at the station.

 

He had no other function and what happened was a private matter.

 

A committee will be set up in Bang Poo after Prawet police have concluded their own inquiry.

 

The committee will be asking the question as to why a policeman was with a man wanted on an arrest warrant and why he was acting in this way. 

 

The chief of the provincial police said that the cop would receive no favors.

You just know when they set up committees , nothing is

going to happen, as no one person has to take responsibility.

Slowly please, need to get nominations etc., to decide a committee to form the actual committee first, then get opinions etc., as to the objective of the committee and decide a process to handle any disagreement as to the purpose of the committee, Then take a breather because of mental health issues, now real committee can't proceed because no leader appointed yet and meeting to decide the committee leader can't proceed because the maid in on 1 week leave, so no coffee and water, so committee stuff postponed.

And delays in catering contract to feed them. Not so easy during pandemic... Perhaps a booking into the police resort outside of Pattaya....
