I would have to cough up top dollars for political cabaret and good soap operas in my native birth country. 

Here the hits keep on flying in on a daily, twice daily and sometimes hourly basis - I just love the idiocy of all those crétins. 

Make him prime minister; other flour traders before him (though not convicted with free accommodation in Australia) tried before him ..... and failed. Under the given circumstances of how the leadership is raping this country, I am not too sure if the Captain would fail. 

Never a dull moment, we will see anytime soon; possibly sooner than some sitting politicians would fear!

As they all come from the same club - be they democratically elected, place by coup, or any other corrupted means. 

The theatre truly does remain the same....yet, the bit players change their roles ever so slightly. 

Tradition.

Nearly as funny as having a  Prime Minister who seized power by imprisoning leaders of opposing parties, making his own constitutional changes to ensure that he had a hefty (150) start in the last "Democratic" election, and openly denies there will be another election in the foreseeable future, while "off stage" has been heard to say "I'm going to be here for a while yet!"

Doesn't matter that is accepted in LOS, it's what the rest of the world thinks.

Can you see Aus. opening its arms to a criminal convicted of drug smuggling in Aust., and I'm sure a word in the ear of US, UK, and other major countries would result in a similar response.

Just what Thailand needs, another officer and this time a convicted drug trafficker on top. While it doesn't seem to count in Thailand, as he wasn't convicted by a Thai court, he's hardly a suitable representative for his country when it comes to dealing with foreign leaders.
