Will be extending my visa ( based on marriage ) in November for the second time.

I know I will need 400,000 baht in the bank for 2 months before application.

Last year I transferred this amount from the UK into my Thai bank account.

Surprisingly , I still have 150,000 baht remaining.

Can I just top this money up with another transfer of 250,000 baht ( will show as international transfer in book ) or must I again transfer the full 400,000 from the UK to meet the immigration rules.

Thanks in advance for any answers.

There is no requirement to prove any of the 400k baht came from abroad.

Thanks Ubonjoe. So in other words a 250,000 top up will do the trick. Cheers

The only time you need to prove a foreign transfer of funds is for the whole amount when you buy property. No need for buying a car or motorbike either.

Sorry to hijack the thread, does the top up for the 800,000 retirement funds in advance has to show as an international transfer for renewal? having shown that the first application and seasoning has come from abroad, thanks.

Extensions do not require to show funds from abroad.

For non o retirement visa obtained in Thailand then the 800k needs to be shown came from overseas.

The extension based on retirement does  not have that requirement.
