Popular Post webfact Posted September 4, 2021 Popular Post Posted September 4, 2021 Thailand’s Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-o-cha has refuted the Opposition’s claim that his government should be held accountable for all the COVID-19 deaths, as a result of its failures in managing the pandemic, but has vowed to navigate the country through the crises and to rebuild the economy during the last four months of this year. In his final statement, before the end of the four-day censure debate Friday, the prime minister told parliament that it is unfair to be accused of “trading in the deaths” of people. He told the opposition to acknowledge the vast number of people recovering from the contagion, claiming that the recoveries are accounting for 85% of those infected, thanks to everyone’s cooperation in the joint efforts to contain the disease. Popular Post Aussieroaming Posted September 4, 2021 Popular Post Posted September 4, 2021 Why do you need to rebuild the country if the government hasn't destroyed it? Why not be specific and tell the people what parts of the country need rebuilding. Why not listen to and acknowledge the issues being raised by the people, instead of ignoring the voice of the people and accusing them of being wrong? 1 1 1

zzaa09 Posted September 4, 2021 Posted September 4, 2021 Even during these turgid times, really freeing up the "open" market to true independent business will help. Not that this activity will ever come about. Just a thought.

Mr Prayuth, where did you learn your maths? I hope to god that a hell of a lot more than 15% of infected people are recovering. Either that or the notion that you have been 'massaging the figures' is a wild underestatement. 2
AnotherFarang8 Posted September 4, 2021 Posted September 4, 2021 Governments do not build economies. People build them. Governments can only get in people’s way, less, more or a whole lot more. 1

internationalism Posted September 5, 2021 Posted September 5, 2021 if his major economic idea is to open country to tourists, there might be surprise, if they don't come in expected numbers. The truth is, that large parts of country is still dark red zone, partial lockdowns, curfew. That is because he failed to order vaccines in 2020. So markets, many factories, large construction sites, shopping malls, leisure industry had to be shut. The chance is export of agricultural products because of falling baht. 2
