It concerns the payment of bribes by prisoners to get advantages at Chonburi Central Prison. Human rights' lawyer Atchariya Reuangrattanapong earlier took ex-prisoner Jaras Hormchit to report what was going on in the prison. darksidedog Posted September 29, 2021 Share Posted September 29, 2021 It makes me laugh when the Thais express shock and horror that this could possibly be happening, when it is common knowledge that exactly the same thing is how things run in every prison across the country. It's hard for me to complain about "corruption", when farangs benefit greatly from the ability to get things done by ponying up a little more cash. Western countries call it "bribery", Thailand calls it "business".
