We may be able to buy them in Canada pretty soon.  The gov't is talking about dropping tariffs on them.  They certainly can't be any worse than American-made crap.

Hopefully for the byd's. They can keep the mg crap.

There's nothing wrong with MG EV's.

We have both MG4 and BYD Seal, both excellent cars.

While criticising the MG3 for failing one of the safety aspects in the Euro Ncap tests lets not forget that they are not alone.

At least they submit the same cars they produce off the assembly line.   Unlike some other auto makers.  VW & Toyota both called out for that, or providing false test data.

Do you have an example of any similar faults from another brand?

"The result of the seat latch mechanism failure led to extra impact on the driver dummy’s right leg, while also making its head ‘bottom out’ against the steering wheel rather than the airbag. This meant head protection in the MG3 was downgraded to ‘adequate’ and leg protection ‘poor’. Euro NCAP said that since it began crash testing in 1997, this type of failure had “not been seen before”."

Obviously not similar faults from another brand as “ Euro NCAP said that since it began crash testing in 1997, this type of failure had not been seen before”

But there are plenty of 4 and 3 star ratings from other brands recently.

Am not defending nor dissing MG just stating that other brands, including well established ones, also fail to achieve 5 stars regularly.

Not an MG, but for the Chinese bad durability proof camp, nonetheless.......NOT!

3 Years, 3months - 404,800 km and already needs new ball joints and steering knuckles?

That's an average of nearly 350km per day!

This whole thread didn't age well as Chinese EV's have been proven to be truly terrific.

If most of that driving was over Thailand roads, then I think you shouldn’t complain about the wear rate …

Unless something better comes along we are looking to buy Zeekr 7X when the updated model arrives … the one that’s available at present is just such good value.

Although I shouldn’t concern myself with how many kilometres you get from the battery as I need to stop for a piss every hundred or so kms anyway….

At ~345km per day means a lot of smooth surface driving and untimely front-end failure.

Try Cialis 5mg with Doxazosin 4mg daily.

That's about 20 years worth of typical driving so not bad at all.

That's 22 yrs of driving for us (19 yrs more), if we maintained 17k a year, and highly unlikely. I'd be 90 yrs old, and the wife, 68 yrs old.

And the car still has 86+%, probably good for another 20 yrs, if maintained, and no major oops.

DC charging cost half of what petrol cost per kms, in TH anyway.

340 kms = ฿370 @ DC charger @ ฿8 / kWh ... MG ZS EV

340 kms = ฿750 for petrol @ ฿31 / Liter... MG ZS ICE

381k / 340 X 31 = ฿840.4k ... BEV saves half that amount 👍

I'm in Dubai this week and using a lot of Ubers: you can chose to have an electric one so I always do. Been in some interesting ones that we don't have in Thailand.

Obviously lots of Teslas........boooooooo.
Been in a few BYD Hans. Very nice.
A Polestar 4 this morning. VERY nice.
And a Dontheng Forthing just now. Never heard of it before but very nice inside.

Also see a lot of Jetours on the roads (a Chery brand). Very boxy and Jeepy.
