  • I set it to pay automatically each and every month direct debit, there is nothing to do ! Set it and forget it.

  • Here at the edge of the jungle we get the bill in the letterbox, then we pay it at Lotus next visit. App works beautifully. It's called 'Walk 'n Smile'.

Unfortunately the application PEA Smart Plus does not work, I have an error message after inserting the CA/Ref No. and the PEA No.

I'm going to have to set up direct debit with the bank.

Scan the QR code / bar code on the top part of the bill from within the app and that worked for me everytime. 6 houses added now (our House, Our old house, BIL, friend of the family, niece house in Pattaya and our new property next door)

Ps: No I don't pay them all ????

Unfortunately the scan function does not work either !

Suggestion: Have you tried a different phone?

I would go and ask the PEA why it doesn't work.

I am very reluctant to setup Direct Debit here in Thailand. You hear those stories with people getting slapped with a VERY high electric bill because the meter reader entered a couple of digits wrong!

I think it depends which bank you are with.....Bangkok Bank is a no go (for me at least).

Given up trying to pay direct and hnow phone a Thai cousin in Bangkok who has a different bank.....they pay there bill and we pay them!!!

I have the PEA app on my phone but to get it to work I must turn off WiFi and turn on Mobile Data. Then I select Bangkok Bank -enter my BkBank  user name and password then the bill is paid.

Today is December 12th 2024. Bangkok bank's app still doesn't have a PEA option.

I can report that the EasyPay https://ebills.asia/th option works with Bangkok Banks online banking (apply/get number at an ATM - easy nowadays).

However, N.B. the Prompt Pay option is pretty dicey - currently awaiting a refund as their website didn't pick up a successful payment.

Choose instead the online banking option. It will take you to Bangkok Bank's ibanking with the payment set-up. (N.B. It might instead randomly offer you a QR Code instead. If so, probably better to click back and select it again. Then you will be offered the actual online banking option, as expected.

In the end, this option is OK.

QR code on the actual bill doesn't work for me ios or android.
