bkk6060
I understand it is trailing information Thailand's reported death % is not the worst but the Philippines is showing 10% death rate (over 400) on the recent 4,000 cases. Terrible and sad. Edited October 31, 2021 by bkk6060
Popular Post Bkk Brian
With the covid pandemic here in Thailand education has suffered enormously. Locally here in Phuket there's a certain anticipation and mixed emotions for many people regards the opening of all government schools on Monday. Of course its welcome however people are also a little nervous as to how this will go. The International Schools have been operating normally for a few weeks with no reported cases so that's a very good sign. Fingers crossed this will also be the case for all the government ones! This is the same for the whole country from Monday, schools opening in many places though not all of them as promised by officials. Phuket is 77.4% fully vaxxed although Bangkok has now overtaken Phuket as the highest double vaxxed Province, 78.4% of people fully vaccinated there so hopefully all schools there will also re-open? https://covidtracker-th.netlify.app/ Fever of excitement and anxiety as Thailand goes back to school Like many Thai children, 12-year-old Thayan “Fhan” Wirojsakulchai can’t wait to get back to school, the joy of studying at home having long since evaporated. For Thayan, it’s great news that his school, Roong Aroon, is about to let him return to classes every day. “I’m so excited that I will get to see my friends in real life,” the boy said happily. The fully vaccinated youngster will start attending school from Monday (November 1). https://www.thaipbsworld.com/fever-of-excitement-and-anxiety-as-thailand-goes-back-to-school/ Edited October 31, 2021 by Bkk Brian 3

Shameful. You know, when schools reopen covid will spread like wildfire. That won't matter much for the kids, but it's essential older people are fully vaccinated, or there will be hundreds and perhaps thousands of deaths. It all depends how many over 60's have been vaccinated- less than 75% and there will be carnage.

Some schools have already reopened but for others it seems to be taking ages. At this rate, bars will reopen before some schools! ????

They changed that too to make things look better. How much else is changed and bogus to suit their agenda. I think quite a bit. Like I've said the RTDA comes out saying ATK needs to be in the numbers. Look at @Bkk Brian's chart and I think it's pretty obvious when the RTDA came out with their statement.

Yes crazy eh With over 70% double jabbed and such a minimal number of new infections and deaths, there is no justification for continuing the restrictions and not allowing them to re open. In Chonburi Province, the 5 deaths recorded were : “As for the five new deaths yesterday, four of them were elders with an average age of 76 years old. They were close contacts from previously confirmed cases in their family according to the Chonburi Department of Public Health. They all had chronic health problems. None of them were vaccinated.” https://thepattayanews.com/2021/10/31/chonburi-announces-344-new-and-confirmed-cases-of-covid-19-and-5-new-deaths/ Time to let people get on with their lives and learn to live with it.
