I understand fireworks are banned in Thailand? Is that correct?

No firework parties allowed tonight then?  ☹️☹️

Guy Fawkes

Guy Fawkes, also known as Guido Fawkes while fighting for the Spanish, was a member of a group of provincial English Catholics who was involved in the failed Gunpowder Plot of 1605. He was born and educated in York; his father died when Fawkes was eight years old, after which his mother married a recusant Catholic. Wikipedia

Nothing to stop you having a bonfire and a "guy". I'm sure there will be many suggestions who "guy" should be modelled after :whistling:

Party within your local COVID roolz.

Strange, Google also show something on their front page for various special days but today show nothing for Guy Fawkes on the google.co.uk page. Maybe its a 'Woke' thing? Don't want to upset the Spanish or the Catholics? ????

...Guy Fawkes, the last guy to enter Parliament with honest intentions.!

Doesn’t the music festival kick off in Pattaya today ?

Guy Fawkes party has a different connotation in Thailand.

Gonna be hot standing in front of a bonfire in Thailand!  ????????

Go to a Thai funeral they seem to have fireworks for a couple of nights and a decent display on the cremation day.

What would that be ?

I might be going out on a limb here... I doubt many Thais celebrate his big day... they let it pass in silent reverie...

Tater ash and red cabbage tonight. No black peas, sadly, or parkin for afters.
