overflights dosent mean landing but this will continue to increase as more aircraft get back to flying.

The arrivals and departure figure wont see any increase under current restriction aimed to keep tourists out of thailand especially while the chinese cant travel.

Not as easy as finding a negative comment to say about  everything.

Of course it was low, the country has been effectively shut.

They have to start from somewhere.

Right on K ???? Bl..dy world has been all but closed and people (maybe not the other Poster?) seem to have this bizarre idea that a return to pre-covid behaviour and movement should be almost instantaneous. For goodness and sane thinking sakes! It will take time for systems and organisations to adapt and reboot. It's not a childlike thinking i.e. I want it to be a certain way and it should, just, immediately, magically be that.

Logically, that's when many carriers expect to be bouncing back into full gear worldwide.

It's already a bit of a industry understanding.

No doubt they were saying that about Q2 2021 this time last year.

Thing of it is, if Thailand actually were to scrap this silly quasi-reopening scheme, the air traffic numbers wouldn't have to be explained away!

I don't think it was negative at all. Just being factual, the same as stating a 25% increase. It is just a fact, there has been a 25% increase and it is nothing to get excited about or depressed about.

The important and interesting thing is what happens over the next two years.

It will be a very slow climb back - two years or ten years.

Yet, the Thais will adjust to whatever is thrown their way.

Yes, they always do.
