I found that because many places have closed , the ones left open are busy because there are ones of the few left open and everyone goes there 

Hire some 150CC Honda ADV bikes and ride to Chiang Rai for the weekend. Easy short ride and glorious at this time of the year. Lots of beautiful roads to explore. Can book Saturday nights stay easy through Agoda.
