It is impossible to time the stock market, so I always keep my money in the SP500.   Since I was born it has averaged 8.6% without the dividend returns and over 10.5% with dividends added.

  • No problem for me as I don't have any earnings. If I have any money left over at the end of the month, I invest it in more beer.

  • Shouldn't that read: "With stocks correcting, crypto currencies crashing, and interest rates rising, where are you putting your money?"

I like those odds and invest for long-term even at age 57.

Last year many people tried to time the market and got out.

Pre dividends, the SP500 was up 26.89% in 2021.

Yes, I lost some money so far in 2022, but over the last 2 years I have funds in there to cover any stock market corrections.

You only lose money if you overreact and sell when it is down.  It will always rebound over time.

Into stocks.  They are selling at a discount at the moment.   And even better deals may be ahead so some money is set aside for that just in case.

In the UK I put it in bricks and mortar.

Only residential lets.

Had industrial before but got out of it and retail is a joke.

Averaging a 10% year on year return (capital gains appreciation) plus profit on rental..

I sold my stocks in December and moved to gold.
I expect gold to go up but eventually correct so I’ll probably sell it if it reaches close to 2500

Although stocks are looking tempting to buy after they’ve come down. I was actually thinking of buying some last week or this week.

Put more money into stocks.  The time to buy is when the market is down.

If investing in Thailand, (having spouse), land.

If not, Thailand or anywhere, then play the markets.  Although, without knowledge, experience, and proper software, most lose, or if lucky, break even with little gains.  It's a scam, and you need to realize that, and use it to your advantage.

Worse investment strategy ... advice from any stock broker.

It's not down nearly as much as it's going.

I agree, land is good. I actually own some and was thinking of selling, maybe I should keep it.

Crypto isn't crashing, just a normal correction, it more volatile than stock.

Sharing some #BitcoinBitcoin_evergreen.png history. Avg correction duration 89 days, dip avg 57%, avg gains after dip 362%

Bitcoin hasn't been around long enough to know how it will perform in an environment of rising interest rates and quantitative tightening, so I question whether you can credibly dismiss what's currently happening in crypto markets as "just a normal correction."

A real rarity. ThaiVisa person speaking good advice. I have done the same with Tracker funds for 7 years now, well diversed. Short term setbacks like at present are just small blips in the long term.

Same here. Still got a few old shared retail interests, but almost everything else is in residential lets.

Are you Thai, as non-Thais cannot OWN LAND?

It certainly presents an opportunity.

I have seven figures in crypto at the moment, mostly in stables, earning me enough APY that I will be easily in 8 figs by this time next year.

Maybe then time to hang up the spurs.

I beg your pardon, this is a sub forum about finance, business, etc.

Why would you find that funny? Hardly a crash when it is up 15% from a year ago.

Not sure if you work or not, but if you do, where do you put your money?

I farm on the Mair app, and get a nice 250% apr for my EGLD farm.

Also, Solana/Raydium and SLC/USDC on Raydium exchange, getting 54% and 345%. For $25k invested, this pays me over 40k baht a month.
