What can one say? A real man, is someone who is able to walk away, when things are not working out, and the relationship is over.

A cowardly man, with no self esteem, no sense of self worth, and no willpower, just clings to a myth, desperately trying to fix something that is broken. A very sad sight to behold. What a sad, sad man.

IIf he willing to do this with a truck and building, one wonders about the physical safety of his object of jealousy.

Hope she did not go home alone to gather her possessions

Fairly accurate summary of most Thai and other Asian persuasion males. Children in a grown up suit. Truly a sad (and dangerous) state of affairs. :coffee1:

That's a great shame. This guy has totally destroyed the overall ambience and obvious cleanliness of this very elegant eatery.

I hope they catch him and they can be reunited in their forever hovel - sorry, home.

His wife appears to enjoy the company of classy men and dining out in expensive places!

It was unclear where the wife of the suspect had been

I would have thought this to be totally irrelevant to the processing of this case. Or is one's wife assumed infidelity and excuse for violence, inThailand?

Throw in a Wai and a small bribe and walk away happily.

Because that is their real life and having a farang customer is their work. If they do good take care both physically and appealing to mental delusions, they get paid more... that is the job... if a fool gets fooled, by not understanding this job, then he can pay an emotional as well as monetary price...

If you go to Disneyland and want to take Minnie Mouse home and have her remain in costume and role - and not understand their is a price for that, well?

Agreed, but you only reiterated in the point of my post. Preaching to the choir. so to speak. "Well?"...many "Minnie's" continue to deceive and lie even after price paid to "remain in costume". Not all of course, but many.

There are many comments above about the restaurant being rundown.  Could the photo have been taken from outside in the carpark and the real eatery is behind the bonnet of the pickup?

my thoughts also

There is an interesting many volume work on what constitutes a lie in each different culture..

Or better said what is an acceptable lie. And in Thailand lying to benefit your family is acceptable.

If a car salesman back home says.. ain t she a beauty.. it doesnt mean much because you understand and are accustomed to this style of lie

Huh? Someone who is able to face truth, and walk away from a toxic relationship, where he is not wanted or needed by his woman, is a loser in your estimation? We must be living on different planets.

Crashing your car against the restaurant where your wife works in revenge, is simply having mental problems. Nothing to do with what you wrote initially.

Then, relationships take a lot of effort, perseverance and a lot of putting up with each other. If during the first fight where either says “break up”, you “face the truth” and “walk away”, then surely you are a loser.

Sure, but if he said "No problem, don't worry, yes sir" to every question and each was a lie, I would have a bit of an issue.  Especially if it resulted in being sold a lemon and having zero consumer rights after the sale.
