Interesting, as I already mentioned I only pay 30 baht.

Perhaps they grandfathered me.......

Mountain Spring it says on my bottles...18.9 L. He charges me 50 baht for each, but I am well out of town in Nong Plalai. Seem to recall 200 baht for the bottles.... Every 4-5 weeks, or randomly, he skips a week. Grumpy guy, but what a crappy job.

I use Mountain Spring.

Not on a schedule.

I call the morning I need it and get same day.

Sometimes they can't do same day and am told next day.

Fluent English spoken on phone.

To me they're a keeper.

Have decided to go with @SAFETY FIRST‘s suggestion - River Fresh aka “Finra” - first delivery received this morning.  Reasonably easy to arrange - gave them a call, got their Line id and wrapped every thing up by message.  200b refundable deposit, 40b per water tank and can pay by bank transfer.  Pleasant and helpful delivery guys.  With their apparent long history in Pattaya hopefully this means deliveries will be regular and consistent.

Their Line id is 0861542579 “Finra&River ????????????

“Finra&River” reminds me of a Seinfeld episode where Elaine was working for Mr. Pitt - the merger of Poland Creek and Morgan Springs water companies.  New name - Moland Springs ???? - classic episode.

Good to hear,

Yes, good guys, newish vehicles, never had any issues, also no smelly bottles etc

I noticed that there's a new mob on the block, old beat up red pickup selling water. They stop out the front of my house occasionally and deliver across the road, it's the smelliest car, bloody stinks.

They just cruise the soi's sounding their horn to attract customers.

Surprised as I had thought they were all like that.

Perhaps more common where homes are in the City or close to a distribution centre... a samlor could be sent out quick and easy. More out of town, I am getting a pickup loaded up with water struggling up the road... must be pretty darned heavy when it sets off.

I'd like to order one from somewhere

I never wanted a "drinking" tower or these jugs.  But thailand requires changing some attitudes.

and I like this.

Might as well ask though.  what are the "cold drinking towers called" that you find in offices?  you have a link to that too?

Can’t help you with that one, though I suspect easily found on Lazada or Shoppee.

I looked at a few of these recently and they all had a similar spec to this which says it fits various sizes of water bottle from 4.5 litres up to 18.9 in this case, but none mentioned the 6 litre bottles which I buy from 711.  Is the fitting likely to be usable on these bottles?

Just asking, I lived Treetops on the Gold Coast, Burleigh Waters for many years.

Had some of the best years of my life.

haha, people ask the most random of questions sometimes…I couldn’t even begin to contemplate, more less judge, whether or not it fits a 6l bottle.  Maybe the pic will help?

Thanks, but still not sure.  I might just buy one anyway.

How has the water tasted?  or did you do any kind of purity test too?

Tastes good to me, no problems to date.  Did not do a purity test, though.

I was put off water deliveries with all of the fake/bad water stories on here. My condo Manager arranges the delivery to the whole condo block every Tuesday for 50 baht per bottle. Really happy to start taking them again now as they are River Fresh deliveries ????

Kind of off topic; but has anyone who uses these bottles that are refilled and brought to you ever had the water tested? I use one of the trucks also and would like to have their water tested, but don't know where to get a test done. I've heard both good and bad with some of these companies. You don't want to take a chance on your health with drinking water. I've been in Thailand long enough to not trust the wording on the bottles, ie, reverse osmosis treated, filtered, ultraviolet. I'm sure some of these companies do all that, just as I'm sure some don't. Buyer beware comes to mind.

good to see someone stating this
i do not buy these bottles as i find the taste of the water is awful
in past 2 decades, i never tried one that tastes as water should
i know many that do use them
and i can instantly tell when they have made me a cup of tea.

Unfortunately I had the same experience - Line and FB messages that I sent all went unanswered so I called to make the initial arrangements.  Subsequent deliveries arranged directly with the actual delivery guy for my building (Central Pattaya) through Line.  Apparently they deliver to different areas of Pattaya on different days so see if you can get that clarified as it will make future deliveries easier to plan for.

Which of their phone numbers did you call excactly?  I tried

one and they were rude and hung up.

Was spoken in Thai, so not sure what was said to GF.

I want to make a second effort here.  That is weird business.

So, I got mine in.  And the hose doesn't go to the bottom of these 19 liter bottles.  or at tleast the hose I got doesn't.

Was the one's delivered to you short like that?

if it was, what was your workaround so you can use it till the bottle is practically empty?
