Biden Says I am Garbage.....Im Proud
You confuse optimism with projection, and as always when you get things wrong I'll suggest you google the terms to get the correct definition. But yes, I agree. I was overly optimistic. The aforementioned skulls are just too thick. -

Labour Government’s Bold Claim to “honesty with voters” Has Unraveled Quickly
Isn't that what so many of you demand for Thai baht? And how good it would be if it fell, increased competitiveness, more tourism and all that yadayadayada... So, following this logic, labour government is a God-sent to UK to save its economy and make life easier for the expats there! -

ICE vs EV, the debate thread
numerous studies and data from trustworthy sources have proven that electric cars catch fire less frequently than internal combustion engine (ice) vehicles. this fact has been discussed extensively on this forum, and you're not the first to repeatedly question it without some serious research ... there's a dedicated topic specifically for ev fires where you can find more detailed information on this subject. please use that thread to support your claim. thanks a lot! https://aseannow.com/topic/1335967-icev-ev-fires-worldwide/#comment-19323800 -

Thailand’s BRICS dreams: Up in the air but not grounded yet
I experienced firsthand the benefits of Thailand ASEAN membership and of the organization's evolution. One example is export of electric/electronic products from Thailand to Indonesia. Due to the now abolished Indonesian high import duties on Thai products, all trade was done through smugglers located in Singapore. Legitimate businesses were cornered and effectively pushed out of the market. The situation was such that some products were even smuggled back into Thailand, due to the way the tax was structured in the country, damaging legitimate businesses in both Thailand and Indonesia, to the sole benefit of Singaporean bootleggers. Just like in the EU, the elimination of tariffs and non-tariff barriers among the ASEAN members has served as a catalyst for greater efficiency in production and long-term competitiveness. True, for most of the farang living in Thailand nothing apparently changed. But if today we can buy a television set, a computer or a washing machine at affordable prices in Thailand, this is due to the lower tariffs ASEAN countries agreed upon. 20 years ago this was not the case.
