The Thai tradition of seeking compensation is a disgrace. As usual in Thailand, although no financial harm has been done they want MONEY. And the police 'negotiate' it to get their cut.

What did the parents say, if they haven't followed another Thai tradition of deserting their kid and at the same time surrendering their responsibility to teach right and wrong. Many here seem to have kids only as an insurance policy to be taken care of in old age. That might be understandable though, because the government does next to nothing for them. But there are consequences, aren't there.

A very good point, often overlooked. If it was consensual, as the lad claims, then she is just as guilty.

Nothing will happen here. 

 

I first had sex before I had experienced an erection, aged 11. Girl was 12. @ kinda screwed me up for a few years.

Because the law states that she is below the age  to give consent. Therefore if a guy does have sex with her they are commting statutory rape..

Times change, you know the Metoo movement. I know in Boston when I was a kid guys ,especially around construction sites would whistle at cute girls walking by. Do that now and you can be arrested for assault. Hek I was an athlete kinda buff had nurses taking a lunch break outside Mass General Hospital who whistled at me when I walked my mom out to our car.  Mom and I just laughed

He was also below the age to give consent ....... stat rape works both ways.

this reads like casual sex between teenagers. if so, the girl's father should try to remember what he was doing at 14 years and if he should've gone to jail for it

Kids. My Hairdresser's daughter got knocked up at 14. The boys parents

 agreed to take care of her and the child. Mother was fine about it. Two kids of 11 in the village kept running away and bonking so the families held a marriage ceremony so they could do what they wanted (in the eyes of the villages).

Thailand is a very laid back society.

So out of the 3 times she went to meet him, which time did she say no ?

This is not an uncommon occurrence in Thailand . Further I believe it is not a crime in Thailand for a 14 year old girl and a 14 yr old boy to have sex . The fact that she came back to him a couple of times more suggests that it was consensual .

Having sex with somebody under 15 is always considered rape under thai law, thus it's illegal.

Of course it applies to both, so as pointed out by the other poster, if the boy is charged, the girl should be charged as well.

To the father the girl was a piece of meat to make money off of but when the boys family didn't have the money to pay for it they had the boy arrested

A bit weird that it was an ongoing thing and only ended when they went to the police.  What prevented them from ending it before hand if it wasn't consensual?

I thought the law was that underage consensual sex was legal between 2 underage. But molestation is not, it is rape. 

But this sounds like a consensual gone wrong and a money extraction aided by the boys in brown.

Many forum members (including myself) were up to all kinds of shenanigans at that age, with consensual girls of our own age.

And at 12-14 the girls were more mature and the aggressive. I pleaded to parents not to be sent to summer camp. If not I would never have met there the utter tarts from private schools and  "Christian" academies.????

it would work if it was the other way around, girl from poor family and boy from better off family, then they would say that she seduced him, she was promiscuous

Under Thai criminal law the offence of rape requires penetration.  How exactly would a 14 year old girl penetrate the boy?

"Penetration"  can be achirved by either, the boy inititating the act or a female initiating the act, the result of  "penetration" is achieved,

Just by siting on his penis. Penetration is achieved.
