Daffy D Posted May 8, 2022 Posted May 8, 2022 Windows 10 with Edge. Recently been getting this blue line flashing up whenever I hover over a section of Webpage. Not had this happen before and it's quite irritating. Any idea how to get rid of it? Cheers
KhunBENQ Posted May 8, 2022 Posted May 8, 2022 It's an important feature (for many). Checking the full URL to get a better idea if its legit/plausible. Mine is just black/white (Firefox) and I never thought about how to get rid of. Not new to me. 1 1
KhunBENQ Posted May 8, 2022 Posted May 8, 2022 Not sure whether this is of any help for you (I use EDGE very rarely): https://geekermag.com/enable-tab-previews-in-microsoft-edge-chromium/ It might be new to you/EDGE since they adopted the "Chromium" engine from Google Chrome.

I think we all have our own ideas about 'important features" Mine also used to be B/W and hardly noticeable but now with the blue fill its really noticeable and very irritating

Upnotover Posted May 8, 2022 Posted May 8, 2022 I use Chrome and the colour fill of the box changes with the colour scheme of the browser. Maybe get rid of that blue?

To get rid off it in Firefox (I wouldn't recommend as you say it shows the FULL url of the link) https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1285060 It's called "#statuspanel"

Yet I don't seem to have this on Brave (based on Chrome)..........should I feel hard done by....... Or perhaps I am not hovering in the right way... 1

Or perhaps I am not hovering in the right way... Hovering correctly is a highly skilled art, I have perfected it over many years. Shame the only benefit is an irritating blue status bar Edge is also based on Chrome and I have it, so yes you should feel hard done by 1
