BANGKOK, May 23 (TNA) – Crime investigation activist Atchariya Ruangrattanapong asked the Senate committee on human rights, liberty and consumer protection to push for a repeated examination for blood stains on the speedboat that carried late actress Pattaratida “Tangmo” Patcharaveerapong as he claimed to have evidence of physical assault.

Mr Atchariya sent his request to Senator Somchai Sawangkarn, chairman of the Senate committee. He said he asked the panel to urge the Justice Ministry to order the Department of Special Investigation to conduct an examination for blood stains on the speedboat because he had new evidence indicating Tangmo was murdered.

Why is crime investigation activist Atchariya Ruangrattanapong not considered a national hero here? I had never heard of him before. Imagine someone devoting their life to questioning the spectacularly incompetent and incapable RTP? This is incredible. I love it. This guy should be a household name.

Question everything they do, say and conclude. Everything.

How many months and boat washes has it been since the accident?

Thank you, my thought as well. Wash away any incriminating forensic evidence before further examination!

What "new" evidence can he have after this long? And if it is "new" evidence why has it taken this long to turn up?

Like always, whenever one observes what appears to be someone questioning the authorities one must ask "why"? Is it because this is such an injustice, something that really requires examination and the public to understand?

Or is it a distraction, a means to get eyes on an inconsequential bit of celebrity gossip and fascinate the masses with conspiratorial nonsense about famous people having an accident while intoxicated? Would our hero Atchariya be as interested to investigate several other cases that cropped up in the news and then quickly disappeared, as if they were Karen forest activists?

Maybe one of the people on the boat finally talked. Or someone they had confided in did. Hard to keep secrets in Thailand...

That or CCTV footage. There were previous images that appeared to show an assault on the boat but very grainy and distant, maybe better footage turned up.

Certainly the death was never adequately explained.
