Yes , parties were banned  , but going to your office to work wasn't banned .

Is having a few drinks after work with your colleagues a party of not ?

A colleague was leaving the job and Boris dropped by to raise a toast .

Having a few drinks in the office after work on a Friday , isnt such a bid deal and its debatable as to whether it can be consider to be a party or not

Repeatedly having a few drinks laid on during official business? You might buy that but not many others will.

Not correct .  The British people wanted to leave the E.U and that viewpoint had been growing for decades .   UKIP  a Political party set up with the sole aim of leaving the E.U was gaining

possibly the most naive comment on this thread. but just the kind of intellect Boris & Co thrive on.

Having a glass in your hand to toast an office worker leaving their job and whether you consumed the glasses content is a rather trivial matter and as such matters waste so much time , they are going to change the rules to stop people making such trivial complaints  .

Junior members of staff at that party were fined, not for drinking but for attending an illegal gathering.

Johnson attended and then lied about it.

Millions of people (voters) understand this.

No, he stated that he didn't attend a party and  he considered the meeting to be a general office meeting and thus was allowed .

He didn't say he didnt attend the location , he stated that it wasn't a party.

When does an office meeting become a party, is the question

Calling people liars seems to be a big hobby of yours .

Only two ways BoJo will cease to be PM: he's in shackles or dead.  It's an international craze these days.

Similar to the dilemma in the US these days: is it a group of tourists visiting a government building or a lynch mob?

No, those are both the least likely options .

The two most likely options are that he would either resign or get voted out .

Johnson says a lot of things.

Unfortunately he also tells a lot of lies, he’s s got a long record of lying, lying is his thing.

Yes, you keep saying over and over and over again

Well, yes, because it’s a salient point.

You are using what Johnson says as some kind of proof that he did not break the law.

It’s a proof that falls apart on the established fact that Johnson is a habitual liar.

He has absolutely no credibility.

Well he isn't actually a "habitual liar" , I will not discuss this any further, because I have discussed it so many times, that I am completely bored with it and get its repetitive day in day out discussing whether  person is a liar  or not .

As you don't seem to be able to have a discussion with labelling someone as being a liar, I don't think I will be continuing with this discussion with you

Please come back when you have a more credible witness.

LOL, Because my current witness is a liar ? ????

Yes.

Just out of interest, who is my "current witness" ?

I have no idea who you are calling a liar , but you seem to call everyone that

I thought you were done?

Go back and read your posts to see who’s statements you are relying on.

Done with discussing the  topic and whether people are liars or not .

I was replying to you and wondering who the current liar is .

The prime minister lying to parliament, and by extension queen and country is not trivial.  Boris will come to learn this.

I lie to the UK government all the time ....... it's no big deal IMHO.

I'd be happy lying to the Queen as well, if I knew her.

Tony Blair lied to parliament and the country about weapons of mass destruction, then invaded a foreign country killing thousands of innocent women and children. Nobody seems bothered about his lies!

Alas, I must disagree on this. He will never learn, no matter what becomes of him. He is a sociopath. He can't learn.

Is this thread a Labour Party get together.............????........................????

Nobody cares about your lies BritMan, though depending on what lies you tell HMGov you may be breaking the law.

’Tony  Blair blah blah’ is irrelevant whataboutary.

Johnson broke the laws others were obeying despite the difficulties they personally suffered at the time, he then lied about it mIllions of people (voters) understand that.

To quote Chumbawamba

“Stop now
What's that sound
Everybody look what's going down
Stop now
What's that sound

I am a timebomb
A ticking ticking ticking timebomb
I am a timebomb
A ticking ticking ticking timebomb

Hear the ticking of your heartbeat beating
Hear the breaking of their promises
Hear the smashing of your expectations
Hear the shattering of half-rhymes“
