Suvarnabhumi Visa Exempt - Change of Tactic Applied
If you have a pink ID card, that's all the more reason to have a longterm visa/extension. I really can't tell if you just got lucky or if airport IOs have a different take on this, but I'd be surprised if having a pink ID card but entering visa exempt excessively won't get you into trouble eventually. With people who spend a lot of time in Thailand visa exempt, immigration is more worried about them working illegally than them not having a place to stay. -

Am I too late for online 90 day report?
When did this change take place? I had not heard about the change and just did my online report on the 30th of September for a 1st of October due date and it was approved with no issues. Do you lose the week if you report a week early so it turns out being a 83 day report or are they now giving 90 days past the due date? Thanks for the information, I will change my calendar to do the next report a week sooner. -

Suvarnabhumi Visa Exempt - Change of Tactic Applied
I don't know how relaxed they are tbh. I had a weird encounter yesterday when entering with a tourist visa after 5 months stay back home in Sweden. I got questioned for 15 min at the booth by a female IO who seemed very new at the job, she even let me come and look at her screen to see if my old passport photo was indeed me. After a while the IO in question called over a supervisor. Then they asked how long I will be staying, I said 3 months. And because I had my girlfriends name on the luggage tag in my boarding card the IO asked if I came alone or not, so I said I came with my girlfriend, which I did. Then the senior IO told her something in thai and kind of gestured her to let me in. I have no idea what, but she stamped me in. But before handing over my passport she said "next time come with marriage visa". I said okay lets see, I am not married. That was it, if its of interest to anyone. ps. they were questioning alot of people yesterday at the booth. I saw one girl get taken away somewhere aswell. -

British National Killed in Sattahip Motorcycle Accident
For you to say he is stupid is both harsh and unjustified. Had you ever met him? If you're claiming he was stupid just due to the fact he was riding a motorbike in Thailand, then I would be interested to know your every habit and action, just to prove that you are in no way stupid at all, ever. -

Is Thailand Value for money
Is it? I have many friends who will not come to Thailand again because they were ripped of. I got ripped of in Thailand so many times I moved back to the West. -

And so the exodus of quality expats begins. This time it's personal
Have fun bouncing from one mall or indoor venue to another. I hate that lifestyle. I'm a fresh air and outside guy. I don't even eat at restaurants anymore unless they have open air seating. -

Thailand Battles Monsoon Chaos: Floods Disrupt Travel and Aviation
There's been absolutely zero chaos at Bangkok airports recently, at least not anything caused by the weather. In fact, today was mostly sunny the entire day. I think the article is referring to Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai and Phuket without saying it. All three cities and their airports have been affected by flooding in recent times. Phuket has been impacted multiple times already this rainy season. -

Is Thailand Value for money
But I'm not wrong. And I thought it was you, thinking, again, that Italy makes superior pizza to NYC, when NYC tied them in ratings. Another foolish argument, because good pizza comes from many cities worldwide. Whatever I appear to you isn't for you to decide on what others think. There are some here that understand what I've been saying, and you think it's rubbish. Again, your opinion, and meaningless. I know nutrition better than you, your replies showing this well. When I read something, from many reputable sources, and they all say the same things, it's quite clear it becomes factual. This is what you aren't getting, and probably never will. By the way, people coming from Italy and making pizza in the US, can make pizza that's just as good as in Italy. Remember, you're just a visitor to the US, and trying a few pizzas there doesn't qualify you as an expert. It's just your opinion. What I've said about pizza and burgers, etc being healthy, is a fact. Look it up instead of posting silly retorts. And you thinking you're right all along, with no evidence that I'm wrong, while I've posted evidence I am, shows you are definitely a narcissist, because they never agree with anyone, thinking they're always right, with no evidence on their sides besides their own opinions. Give it a rest. Assuming I've never been anywhere, am posting rubbish, nonsense, whatever, shows you're not too bright. You are the one not letting it go, and just saying I'm wrong, not realizing you've been wrong all along. Try reading what others write, not skimming, and researching , before you reply, as it's the best recourse. -

Lao borders (some at least) now requiring overnight stay?
The problem is mainly with visa exempt runners coming and going the same day (or with a very short period spent outside of Thailand). As DTV holders will have a visa, there's no reason to think they'll have their movements restricted other than maybe, at a small number of borders, told to spend a night or two outside the country and/or show 20000 Baht to get back in (this is usually requested at Ranong). Non-O and Non-B multiple entry visa holders have very, very few issues and the DTV allows a period of stay per entry of twice as long as the two aforementioned visa types AND the overall visa validity is 5 years, which is 5 times longer than those two visa types. Thus there will be fewer border runs made, as only one needs to be made every 180 days and if extensions are available and not too cumbersome, it reduces down to effectively one border run a year. Also, the number of DTV holders so far is a drop in the ocean; I read somewhere just 2000-2500 have been issued. A small number compared to the tens of thousands of visa exempt travelers in Thailand at any one time. -
