Despite all that's happened during his tenure, he's been lauded as being the man for the job for the past 2.5 years right up until 24 hours ago by some posters here. The country - outside of Islington - were supposedly solidly behind him. Malcontents were simply  dismissed as Woke/ Lefty liberals/ anti-democratic/ Remainers, etc. What's changed? So he lied - yet again! - what's new? Johnson supporters were willing to overlook that character flaw for so long. Why all of a sudden has he gone from hero to zero in the eyes of the besotted?

Because it has recently come to light that he gave a top job to a known sexual groper/molester

Yes, please, please let it be JRM - aka "The Honourable Member for the 18th century."

That would be an absolute godsend for the opposition parties. I doubt if there's a more widely disliked politician in the Tory Party.

This is the man, that when appointed by Boris to find and publicise the benefits of Brexit, decided the best way to do that was to ask readers of The Sun (probably they most "down-market" tabloid newspaper in the UK) to write and let him know if they could identify any possible benefits.

Jacob Rees-Mogg issues plea to readers of The Sun to flag possible Brexit benefits to him

From the BBC a list of possible candidates, Mr JRM is not on the list ,though he might still  throw his hat in ,

But up to press it looks like Boris will be at No 10 for a few weeks  yet.

I was never once taken in by his lies, which together with his incompetence were clearly on display; I said from the start he was a self serving corrupt liar.

Which is exactly what he’s revealed himself to be.

Good riddance to bad stuff.

I do go on a few different websites and on every website I log on, there seems to be one poster endlessly calling Boris a liar , the internet these days is rather repetitive .

Cue : Another opportunity to call Boris a liar

Mate, I have a very uneasy feeling about this. I think he is up to something. Sure of it, in fact.

He’s always up to something, usually handing tax payers money to his chums and impregnating women who are not his wife.

Well obviously, but I suspect he isn't planning on going anywhere. I think he intends to stay put.

That's strange. Because every site I look at has far more than one poster (far more) calling Boris a liar.

And there's a reason for that.

That's true, there's usually a few different posters who keep telling each other that Boris is a liar over and over again .

My point was that some people need to say that over and over again and to keep making the same point

Well get offline, drink a few, listen to some Manowar... That way you will feel refreshed when you enter the foray again...

It will inevitably be reversed...but how long and in how many stages is debatable

If that ever happens , the EU might want to consider that the UK might no longer be in a position to be a net contributor  to the Union since it will likely be pretty broke by then .

But the best thing to do right now is to give everybody the pay rise they want , regardless of how much that might be. Let the UK show Chavez that he was merely a socialist dabbler. The UK can do a lot better than he ever dreamed of.

If we go back, it will be cap in hand. Out of interest, how do you feel about Brexit now?

But more importantly, how ARE you? Still going strong? Still enjoying a good book or two?

About the same as when I voted to leave years ago. This time I will just be an interested observer as my vote ran out last year. It might be back in July 2023 though.

As for the books I am currently updating my master list of authors as I do twice a year. I m down to the last 5 or 6 on my tablet before I need to add more. I have about 190 single books and around 150 authors with multiple books to choose from.

I have just read several books by Rhys Bowen, Some I liked and a couple I have dumped after 50 or 100 pages.
