Chuwit latest! Former soapy boss suggests RTP chief powerless to stop Chinese owned "drug" pub in Bangkok that opens to 4am

Daily News Thai Caption: RTP shocker!

Former politician and soapy massage boss Chuwit Kamolwisit was at his cryptic best in a post on Facebook widely reported by the Thai press.

Chuwit is famous for his remarks about corruption especially in Thailand's nightlife realm. The press often hang on the one time TV presenter's every gem of wisdom, notes ASEAN NOW.

Daily News made no attempt to interpret his remarks about a pub that Chuwit claimed was openly operating until four am in downtown Bangkok where the Royal Thai Police - and principally its chief - are powerless to act.

Chuwit said if you go there you'll find more than half the patrons in sunglasses and more than 50% would test positive (purple urine tests) for drugs - both pills and powder.

It's full of young people partying, owned by a Chinese man who operates without a care in the world thanks to "connections" in the "Land of Smiles."

Don't think it's just Thais that make money in Thailand, Chuwit told his adoring faithful on Facebook.

So where is this untouchable nightspot, what is its name and who owns it.

Chuwit dangled some Thai letters not specifically naming anything or anyone.

It's called "ท." he said. That would mean it starts with a "T".

It's on "ร." - a road starting with an "R".

It's at the "ห." intersection. Words that start with this letter could start with an H, or many other letters for that matter!

It's in the "ส." police jurisdiction. That means it starts with an "S".

It's run by a Chinese man known as "David".

Chuwit said he doesn't reveal much these days.

Next off he'll be revealing things about a casino.

Stay tuned!

ASEAN NOW notes that Suthisan police station is in downtown Bangkok and the main thoroughfare of Rachada Phisek runs through it.

I'll be going to "K" today for "X". Might take "L" with me. Consume a "J" or two.

What's in it for Chuwit to be publicizing this sort of thing?

1. To keep his name in the news?

2. Because he cares about public morality?

3. Because he wasn't cut in?

4. Because he despises the RTP and wants to show he's justified?

5. Because his constant theme is that the country runs on corruption and this is the latest prime example?

6. Because in his old age he's a joy killer?

7. He dislikes the power and influence of Chinese entrepreneurs?

Many Chinese (and other Asian) people have used western forenames as nicknames for donkey's years in place of their, sometimes difficult to pronounce, given names.

...and that there's an intersection called Huay Khwang (beginning with ห) on that thoroughfare, and there just happen to be thousands of Chinese living nearby.

Well he must be well connected to come out with comments like that only confirming corruption is rife in Thailand

It's a way of life to some here ????

Because it could be,  they shut down his beautiful Chuvit park and open space and then chopped down all the wonderful trees and razed the ground so another high rise building will fill up the space and further deaden people's life on Sukhumvit?  Inquiring minds want to know.

"They" didn't shut down the park, he did (the park that he donated the use of to the public free, from which he made nothing).  Then he sold the lease for a lot of money for development.  Nothing to do with the police.

As far as "deadening people's lives on Sukhumvit" is concerned that garden has been closed to the public for 6 years.

There is method: in his (The Chinese Man's) madness:

One has to be very careful when dialling the Chinese because there are so many Wings and so many Wongs, you might Wing the Wong number!

Many Chinese have or use a western first name. Very common.

But there were no facts, were there. Hardly naming and shaming if you don't name the place, the road, the owner. So yes, I'll go for point #1 above. He's said nothing, but gained the attention he wanted to stoke his ego.

Or prophesying lottery numbers on WhatsApp

Just reminds me of the days of Chalerm. That was his forte, giving out similar clues and making himself sound knowledgeable when in reality he was an absolute buffoon with a pink Bentley.
