CM immigration at Central Festival

Featured Replies

I went to the CM immigration at Central Festival today.

It was just one big mess, there was no queue number like at the airport.

Everybody was just crowding around that one table; asking questions and interrupting others at the same time.

I thought things would be more systematic like the other government agencies.

I went to Immigration at Central Festival yesterday, at 10:26 am to be precise. The young lady, amongst 5 colleagues seated beside her at the check-in desk, checked my documents and gave me a queue number before indication of to where I should go. I sat for 2 minutes while the Immigration officer completed the processing of the person seated at his workstation. Less than 2 minutes were taken to complete my processing and I left at 10:32. All very well organised and pleasant staff to boot. Count me satisfied.

I was there about a month ago, for re-entry permit. Very easy and friendly , they asked me what I needed, they gave me a queue number, no one ahead, in and out in a couple of minutes. Try that at the airport office.

Anybody been there for Non-O based on marriage extension recently?  Are the required docs posted there?  Thanks in advance!

Re-entry permit can be done at the airport itself.

Nonsense, you just need a copy passport and a picture, it is done in 5-10 minutes at CM airport. Left side booth before immi check.

Been a while since I did that as I now always do multi-entry together with the visa at once, so not sure you also needed a copy of the visa page for that.

Tourist visa extensions possible there - or limited services vs main place near airport ?

In the transfer passport box it saying "Only type of visa for extension here' makes me think they might not extend tourist visas by 30 days unless its a mangled meaning.

No, transfer passport means to transfer the immigration stamps/visa from the old passport to the new passport. It has nothing to do with extension.

Extend by 30 days is in the tourist visa category.

Yes, I knew that - that was why the comment below it was confusing me.

Great, so I'll be able to go there for 30-day extension vs the circus near the airport...woohoo !
