Daily News Thai Caption: What's your heart made of?

 

Daily News reported on sickening violence in the home of a young mother and her new love interest, a man aged 21, in northern Thailand.

 

Relatives had arrived at the Naresuan University Faculty of Medicine, Phitsanulok after two year old "Nong Khao" had been admitted. 

 

She died from a ruptured spleen and ruptured liver and had blood in her stomach. Medics advised the family to contact the campus police.

 

The family took away the body of the little girl for a temple cremation.

 

But this was not the end of their grief.

 

A six month old baby boy called "Best" - who has a different father - is being treated for a damaged liver, broken arm, dislocated leg and bruising round an eye. 

 

A grandmother said that early in the morning she heard the sound of the children screaming - then everything went quiet.

 

The seventeen year old mother tried to conceal what had happened. 

 

Both her and the stepfather were interrogated for seven hours, said Muang Phitsanulok station chief Pol Col Phakphoom Prasriphoom. 

 

Finally the stepfather admitted what he had done claiming that he didn't mean to harm the children he was "just teaching them a lesson".

 

He said that the little girl had been playing with a plug and he only hit the baby boy in the body.

 

Police are gathering further evidence ahead of prosecution. 

 

Daily News said in their photo caption of the pitiable sight of the little girl's coffin in the back of a van:

A seventeen year old with two kids by two different fathers?

A total tragedy caused by people not fit to be anywhere near children.

Nothing less than execution is justified for this.

17yo mother with a 2yo kid, so she gave birth at 15, means she was up the stick at 14. AOC in Thailand is 15, so there's also the little matter of the father of the child (if she even knows who he was) being guilty of a serious crime.

Being born a man doesn't automatically qualify you to be a father. Many Thai men cannot hold in their frustration and anger. I blame their parents. The habit of making male children the light of their lives and forgiving them their temper makes those boys terrible adults.

If he isn't sentenced to death by law he will be by popular demand .

Yes. The world over, anyone is allowed to have an unlimited number of kids, no qualifications needed whatsoever. It's a strange world.
