Down and out in England.

Go to China. There is  a great demand for English teachers in China. China is highly developed and very cheap to live, Stay there for three years, save up enough money and then you can go back to England or come back to Thailand.

  • Yuletide greetings to one and all. I'm still out on the bench. I've tried all agencies/charities I can find, and all those suggested to me by groups who give help to those who are homeless.

Due to drastic changes in circumstances, I am leaving Thailand and going back to England.

I haven't been there for more than 10 years.

I've lost contact with friends, no family, so I will be homeless to begin with.

I thought I'd go to Brighton as, well why not, and if I've got a chance to pull things around, I've as much chance in Brighton as anywhere else.

But...where will I leave my suitcase?

A homeless person lugging a suitcase will be a target and I doubt I will hold on to it for long.

Does anybody have any ideas as to where a suitcase can be left as cheaply as possible, which I may be able to adapt to leaving it in Brighton?

The train station doesn't do luggage storage.

You can store your luggage at the train station or rent a storage room.

And then you need only a blanket to sleep at the beach or in a park.

Good luck.

Why keep kicking the can down the road, you will have to come back eventually,  dog eat dog, Brave New World.  Soon as arrived council tax/water bill around 2000 quid, told them to stuff it,yes bailiffs, nothing to show.   Most of council tax made up to social care which you will never receive, the rest pensions for council staff,If Birmingham 20% on already high tax bill rise, paying for 1st cousin marriages for mad mullah junior.  There will be race riots in UK once the boaters have been flung out, Farage will see to that and those thousands of cops will be looking at their own pensions as Farage does what he has stated.....yes welcome back

I've managed to find a landlord  who will accept me with no references.

But, I'm in a much better situation after over two years on the bench.

IMHO you are to be much admired for sticking at it in the UK in mainly adverse circumstances for exactly 3 years now.
