Actress Pinky facing 50,000 year sentence claims popular TV show host

Sanook reported comments made by popular TV show host Kendo or Kriangkaimas Phajonsunthorn at the tail end of last week.

 

He was commenting on the latest developments in the Ponzi scandal that is referred to as Forex-3D.

 

He said that Pinky or Salika Chaidech could be looking at a 50,000 year sentence in the case.

 

The case came to light in 2019 and in a recent development Pinky, her mother and brother were ordered held by the Rachadaphisek court on Thursday as they were considered a flight risk.

 

Bail was denied.

 

They are three of 19 defendents in the case awaiting judgment on charges of fraud and computer crime and other matters.

 

Kendo reckoned that with 10,000 claimants defrauded in the case and 5 years for each one that would add up to a possible 50,000 years for Pinky and her relatives. 

 

Though the maximum the court can give is 20 years under the law.

Seems rather inappropriate for TV presenters to be making statements about how many years jail she should do.

Not a statement ... I don't have any opinion on time served or where.

I want to know.

In USA we have different levels of prison low to max and it seems that the rich and famous go to the low security facilities. These facilities are known to be easier on the person.

So I honestly am wondering if she is in a real jail or a low security facility where you can get anything you want.

The brother has already done a running (according to the ‘gossip’)...

Former husband must be glad he got out of that family....  he claims he left her because the family were demanding 100,000 baht per month from him (because she is a celebrity), he had enough.

Saul Goodman was sentenced to life plus 150 years.  He plea-bargained it down to 70.

Taken in by another ridiculous AN headline.  The last line of the article says: "the maximum the court can give is 20 years under the law."

So actually the headline should be "Actress Pinky faces 20 year sentence" but that wouldn't get you frothing and clicking.
