One wonders what drove the forum to abandoned the other 2 emoticons, other than a perceived misuse of the sad or laughing ones.....the Emojis from the top are still available but then if one were to j

Are you deliberately trying to be annoying ?

That is rather immature

Well said.

To much snow flake / Pc  behavior on this forum.

Should be more emojis.  to choose from.

Bet someone will hit the report button about this post.

You are taking this way too seriously , its just two emojis that have been removed .

This PC Snowflake generation are so fragile these days , take two of their buttons away and they go into meltdown ,

It's called humor.

But some have a distinct lack of it.

I find many people annoying on this forum, does it bother me, no.

But some just can't stand not being able to control the table.

People need to except all, when you come on a forum , it's not your personal space, so you can't control it. ( rough with the smooth ) and all that. But if someone bothers you that much  , you can always block them.

I saw the word weaponize used in a different thread about the emotion being changed.

Talk about an over the top stupid word to use.

Snowflake, pc,  Bs.

Anyway, the real point is.

Don't take a forum to seriously, it's only a forum.

I am not the one who is getting upset because two emojis have gone , it doesn't bother me whether they are there  or not

Agree, I found stalking was active, a few members sending me negative emoji's on every comment I made.

Me too, many times I've had a good laugh reading a comment from a member who had been funny.

Worthy of a laughing response.

I also like to have the laugh emoji restored to laugh i.e. about all those guys who met this girl who is different. No, I don't want to write a long answer to them explaining life to them - likely they wouldn't understand it anyhow. If many of us react with laughter, then maybe the person who wrote the post gets the idea and thinks one more time about what he wrote - at least if he didn't intend to make it funny.

Two different issues there .

One issue is the removal of the emojis

The other issue is posting those emojis

I am not distraught because the two emojis have been removed

Oh no,  the Fuzz has just turned up.  :giggle:

It's 3 - smile, confused, sad. If I recall there used to be an angry face a couple of years back.

Perhaps the idea is to ensure there can only be positive reactions to any poster. I've had the experience of being stalked by posters who used the laugh and sad emoticons.

If I don't get any reaction to a post I've made, I assume the comment went over like a lead balloon. No big deal.

Which is indeed sad because life isn't like that. If you're being stalked that's a matter for the forum moderators.

Remove the abusers not the comment emojis.

Hmm, you obviously have a very frail personality.  If posters 'chase me round forums' and post 1 million emojis of whatever kind, it makes absolutely no difference to me, because my life doesn't revolve around what others think of me.  I don't give a flying fig if someone thinks I'm a sh*t, a d*ck, a <deleted>, a hero, a god or whatever.....  Get on with your life and stop being concerned, worried or annoyed about what others think of you.

Was you annoyed by my post ?

Going by the tone of your post, you do seem to be annoyed .

I did find the emojis to be annoying in the same way you found my post to be annoying .

It was actually the notifications that I found to be annoying , the pop up on my screen telling me I had received a notification , which stayed there for five seconds and really got in the way , when you receive one of those pop ups every 30 seconds by a person going on an emoji sending rampage, it does get rather annoying

Remove the abusers not the comment emojis.

At what point does abuse become evident to a moderator? Is it three, four or five of the same emojis in a row from another poster?

Life is exactly like that, some people's sole pleasure in life is tearing other people down, to compensate for their own inadequacy.

If you think a comment deserves a laugh, or disagree completely with the poster, you can always hit the reply button.

You could also say that if you want emojis, how many is enough ? jus because they are not on the "click" doesnt mean emojis are not available, hit reply as an example and most (all?) keyboards and you have this........

Pages of them to put in your reply ???? to convey whatever sentiment you want.

That's their problem, you really need a thicker skin.

On that basis why have the comment emojis at all? ????

No, I am not annoyed at all.  I don't get annoyed ???? . I was speaking honestly, because I can't understand why anyone (other than a young child) would be concerned about the number or type of emojis that are given for their post.

Actually, I need people with good manners who can disagree with me on the basis of facts and data, and refrain from personal abuse.

My main beef with the ignore function is it did not block posters I had ignored from putting emoticons on my posts. That's now fixed, and you are on ignore as well. Goodbye.

Annoyed when people don't speak and just pull faces and its also rude to laugh at people when they make a serious point .

Annoyed when people just post a confused face instead of writing why they are confused .

"Like, Speak up man, if you have something to say, say it and stop just pulling faces" kind of thing

Disable the notifications, or part of the notifications, problem solved.

But why does it annoy you?  Just ignore them...  life is too short to get stressed and annoyed.

Because if I say something that is confusing to people, I would prefer them to state what they are confused about, rather than just pulling a confused face

Who says I'm upset, I'm making use of the forum to express an opinion just like you.

I think it's a poor decision to throw out a perfectly good system for the sake of a few fragile users.
