webfact Posted September 19, 2022 Posted September 19, 2022 By Nop Meechukhun Banglamung, Chonburi – A 14-year-old boy was reportedly beaten to death and discovered at a one-story house in the Huai Yai Subdistrict of Banglamung district on Saturday afternoon, September 17th. Huai Yai subdistrict police arrived at the scene in Soi Hua Nong around 2:00 PM. after being notified of the incident. There, the body of the boy was discovered in the house’s garage with several wounds all over his body and bruises from being tied with ropes on both wrists. It was assumed by law enforcement that the bruises and wounds were from a physical assault and he was dead for 3 hours before officials arrived. The boy, whose name was withheld due to our editorial policy, was delivered to the Central Institute of Forensic Science Thailand for an autopsy while the police began the investigation. The child’s uncle, Den, told the police that his nephew was beaten by a group that accused him of stealing gold and 3000 baht in cash. The boy’s cries were heard constantly around 2:00 AM Saturday. "None of my business" Sums Thailand up perfectly. Nobody cares about anyone, but themselves. Where are his parents? He was probably raised by some senile great auntie, abandoned by the biological woman who bore him. Even she probably doesn't know who the father is. So sad and so common. 5

Thai Society of today, is indeed very twisted, and sick in so many aspects. We hear almost daily of Children who suffer the most terrible abuse, often from those who are supposed to be protecting them. And very often the abuse is known to a Neighbour or Family member, who allow the abuse to continue without stepping in to prevent it. The Old and Infirmed do not seem to escape the wrath of those, often family members who heap torment and abuse upon them also. Something is severely lacking within Thai Society, and having lived here now for 15 Years, I can state that the problem seems to be getting worse on an almost Daily basis. 1 1 3

Except that they kind of are (though not completely) since they imply that no-one tried to intervene, whereas someone did. On hearing the cries, his uncle went to try and stop the beating, but unfortunately, "The group then reportedly took the boy away on a motorcycle ..." He was later returned, but was already dead.

snoop1130 Posted September 19, 2022 Posted September 19, 2022 Three adult suspects who reportedly beat 14-year-old boy to death go through re-enactment in Chonburi The three adult suspects who reportedly stomped a 14-year-old boy to his death over a theft accusation went through a reenactment today, September 19th. The three suspects including Patcharaphon “Peach” Khingklai (21), Natpong “Nut” Chumyen (26), and Kritsada “Paep” Ngentoum (22) reenacted the fatal assault against a 14-year-old boy at an abandoned house on Soi Hua Nong Bon in the Huai Yai subdistrict of Banglamung, Chonburi, at 1 pm today amid a crowd of Thai media including The Pattaya News. Peach, a 21-year-old suspect, reportedly confessed to being the ringleader in the assault, saying that he tried to get the boy to tell his group about the location of alleged stolen valuables, gold and about 3000 baht, or 100 USD. The suspects claimed that the boy eventually told them, so they took him on a bike to the first place, which was the deceased boy’s uncle’s house. A weak half assed attempt and then he didn't call the police like he said he would. Basically, is saw the attack and didn't really do anything. Just told the press he tried to stop it. Yeah, right. How exactly? He should have called the police, but it seems like he just went back to his own business or went back to sleep or something. 2 1

Tropposurfer Posted September 20, 2022 Posted September 20, 2022 What a terrible and despicable thing to do. I try to have faith in humanity (mine at the same time) but I have to admit to being tired and at times really worn down by the brutal, unjust and cruel events of this world. Makes you want to have been there, to intervene with definitive force to protect the child.

Right. So the fact that the attackers have been arrested and charged means nothing? Why not wait and see the result of the investigation instead of just speculating about something that hasn't yet happened..."Sherlock"?
