I tend to discourage chats with Thai ladies because they quickly change the subject to their financial woes. Or news of a family member in the hospital.

so, I try to restrict messaging to logistics, the shorter, the better.

 

As a general rule, the more messages from a lady, the worse the experience in the flesh.

some people have no shame.

Never give them money unless they're lying in bed with you!

Even my thai bird friend of 6 years we barely chat on Line, it waits til she comes over. I don't chat with short timers, not worth it. I don't send money to ladies

I used social media chatting with Thai women for two years. I must say the experience was great. I tried to make a deal - Don't ask for money and I won't ask you to undress on camera. I explained that asking someone you hardly know for money is as offensive to a man as asking a woman to undress on social media after a short acquaintance.

 

I did not make quick moves to date them. I approached them as friends, steered clear of conversations about sex and did not get personal until I knew them better.

 

I talked to women aged 18 to 45.  A number of them lived in Bangkok and worked there to save money and dreamed of one day being able to return to their hometown and build a house. Some had small businesses. I really saw the good side of Thai women.

 

I even chatted with women who stated in their profiles they were just looking for friends. I found some of these women had had bad experiences and stated a preference for friendship only in order to associate with guys who may not be so eager to hook up and jump in the bed so quickly. I found a good number of women just looking for friendship could be courted if the guy was tender, personable and patient.

 

Starting off slowly and developing a relationship, even it it seems like pen friends in the beginning is in my opinion one of the best ways to meet women online and hope for a meaningful relationship.

 

Yes, I was asked for money and I did encountered several women who used social media as a front for prostitution. The are as many male bad apples as female.

Yeah about 50% fall into the seeking customer catagory.  That percentage is higher in the good-looking woman bracket though.  But my inbox is  full of normal good looking gals too.

 

Most of my social media chats are about ladies wanting to come visit me in my condo. I do have a few who have darker motivations, maybe their Thai boyfriend requires extra cash.

Well, there’s busy and busy…

One lady I know sometimes sends me a request for 200 baht, a curiously small number. 

 

Then, I figured out her scheme: she has 5,000 Farang Facebook friends. So, she sends out the same request to 1000s of Farangs. If 1% give her the 200 baht, she clears 20000 baht for the message. 

 

I caught her on Facebook boasting to her Thai friends about buying gold. When i shared that with her, she said she needed 200 baht to buy gold. 

So I posted on Facebook about how I am raising my bed by 100 millimeters because Thai ladies short legs. Sure enough, within 2 hours, some lady showed up at my place to try out the newly raised bed. I had to inform her that the job isn’t done yet.

I was recently looking in some Work from Home and found an 'opportunity' where I (male) had to pretend being a woman on a chat line/forum/blog and was asked if I had any issues if the chats would be come of 'adult' nature...

So I guess that a lot of you guys are 'talking' to middle aged man trying to make a few bucks......cheers????

and then the bed collapsed because I inadvertedly raised the internal supports 100 mm off the floor. After some quick carpentry, all is good now.
