A silly racist, apologist for Johnson who has lied all through his career.

Certainly Johnson did lie throughout his career and laughed about it! I don't see where racism comes into it though?

Oh look Truss’ concerted efforts to destroy what’s left of the economy are all the fault of the Left.   By means that are never explained, the Left has somehow forced a Conservative Governme

Thank you.

Now what is your objection to ordinary people making a decent wage?

They are already on a decent wage , especially considering their skills . Some might say they are milking the temporary inflation rate in an act of greed . Rail Drivers earning double that of nurses and beat patrol police is a joke

Train drivers get GBP 60 000 a year basic pay and a lot more with working over time and its an easier job than being a bus driver

But surely you understand inflation reduces their standard of living.

To starvation level, at this difficult time, I mean, you keep going on about the poor on here.....?  ????

Good we agree, you were wrong.

I haven't done both , but train drivers do not need to deal with passengers , check tickets or take fares and they don't need to actually look out for other vehicles or pedestrians or cyclists or anything , which would make the job of bus driving to be more difficult than train driving

If it all goes boobs up Liz will form a new political party. The Hernia Party

May have to downgrade from a Porsche to a BMW or take their holidays in Ibiza rather than the Bahamas  ?

False equivalence.

I’m all for bus drivers being well paid too.

Yes, your starvation is false....????

I’m trying not to laugh at that ridiculous response.

Find public transportation with taxes.

Maybe leave that 45% in place for the purpose.

Train rides are extortionate due to rail workers wages and some people cannot afford to use trains  , if bus drivers received the same salary as train drivers , using buses would become unaffordable for the poor working people

General election or just hang on till the bitter end? Decisions, decisions.

Her hand may well be forced and she'll go down as the shortest serving PM in history. She and her money man are no less than economic terrorists hell bent on further enriching the wealthy. The pair and their naivety is having catastrophic consequences for most citizens. People are struggling to put food on the table and heat their homes? Well, we'll allow multi-millionaire bankers to have unlimited million pound bonuses, and at the same time not tax the energy companies that have made billions upon billions of profits from the high energy prices. Yep, that'll help the nation. Or at least, 1% of it who they suck up to.

I think got more to do with train services being run for profit and not as a public service.

I fail to see how an election which would probably bring to power the party consisting of Dianne Abbot, Lammy and Corbyn and other ne'er do wells will help at all. In fact the extreme left LIB/Lab/green would compound the disaster into a tragedy by punishing responsible working people and throwing out freebies like confetti at a wedding.

I'm wondering if the left are now reflecting on their harassment of Johnson for lying about having a beer with his colleagues(as did Starmer and others - and no I do not believe there is different science in London or oop north or whatever ridiculous excuse they had for Johnson drinks beer with mates = bad, Starmer drinks beer with mates = good).

Did they really get what they want?

Seems that some are still singing from an old song sheet.  The Labour Party started their conference by singing the national anthem.  The likes of Corbyn and Abbot are long gone with Starmer taking his lead from the right wing leaning Tony Blair.

Just for clarity, I have never voted Labour and would sooner eat my own teeth than do that in the future.  But it is clear that Britain cannot continue with these morons running the country into the ground.  A cabinet full in incompetents put in place by the most incompetent of them all.

There needs to be a complete overhaul of politics and politicians in the UK.  There are simply no contenders at the moment who can turn this around.  Problem is that the general public haven't got the wherewithal to see beyond the same old Tory or Labour boxes to tick.

It has been said for years now that "we are in uncharted waters" or "we are in unprecedented times" and then just carrying on in the same way.  We have a Prime Minister and Chancellor who are in hiding (though unlike Johnson, not in a fridge or a shed) and getting underlings to face the difficult questions.  This is no way to "run" a country.

Screaming for a general election isn't going to fix this because you are then left with having to vote for the same inadequates and ne'er do wells that are in place now.  And I don't have the answer, but maybe we should have teams of experts calling the shots rather than a room full of amateurs who go from Health Minister to Home Secretary are the drop of a hat.

You do write the most extraordinary nonsense, not just in this thread but elsewhere. You often, as here, have only a tenuous grasp on what you are writing about and claiming. I thought I'd blocked you so that I don't waste my time reading you, but it's not too late.

Train service operators make about 2 % profit , some don't even achieve that

Ok things are pretty bad at the moment if one is to believe all one hears from the media

What amazes me is that anybody thinks things would be any better at all under a labour government or any other for that matter

They are all exactly the same , all of them are nothing more than self-serving incompetents, They are all pi$$ing in the same pot so to speak.   When the doors are closed and the cameras are off at westminster the posturing and arguments stop, and they All give themselves a pat on the back  and give thanks to the lord that they have such a stupid electorate.

An electorate so stupid and naive that they actually believe, that these politicians are here for our benefit.

An electorate so stupid that most of them have taken a stance on which side they support as if it was a football match faithfully believing everything their chosen party promises and dismissing everything said by the others. whilst hurling insults at each other

An electorate so stupid that they spend more time arguing amongst themselves on internet forums and chat shows  hurling abuse and insults at each other

How they all must laugh every month when their generous salaries are paid into their bank accounts

Nonsense.

Truss has demonstrated that things can get a lot worse, and it only took her three weeks to do it.

But please, do tell us what your preferred alternative is to elected government?

Are you saying that there's no connection between rail workers high salary and high train ticket prices ?

Also, that if bus drivers were to get a higher salary then bus ticket prices wouldn't have to rise as well ?

Don't you think that there's a connection between operating costs and ticket prices and the higher the operating costs the higher the ticket price ?
