Viral Video: Lamborghini loses rear section in the floods

Thai Rath reported on the weather in Chiang Mai in the north with a viral video posted by a man identifying himself as a driving instructor.

 

"Khru Daeng" went on Facebook with a short clip of a yellow Lamborghini trying to traverse some choppy floodwaters.

 

A rear section complete with the registration plate comes loose and almost completely detached. 

 

The video was viewed more than 1.6 million times with predictable comments poking fun at the expensive supercar's abilities in the flood and the potential reaction of insurance companies.  

 

The media said that the flooding situation and the level of the Ping River were subsiding. 

Not that that helped the Lambo driver any!

So it was just a drag and had to be cut loose.......thats going to be a costly mistake.  Silly for driving it through a flooded roadway, what did he think he was driving Speed Racer's Mach 5 with buttons on the steering wheel to make it a submarine.....

Some years back our Honda CRV got caught in flood a in Buriram.   The insurers said they do not offer flood protection (an extra Baht 500) as it never floods in Buriram.   Cost a very few satang short of 60,000 to get the CRV back on the road.

Owner/driver loses last few remaining brain cells as well, if he decided to take it out under such conditions.

Wow!  I didn't realize that the flooding in Chiang Mai damaged the Sistine Chapel's ceiling fresco.  Amazing Thailand!
