Want to find good delicatessan in Bangkok

Featured Replies

Hi.  Could you please recommend a good delicatessan in Bangkok, mainly Sukhumvit area but any other area is okay.  I'm especially looking for good pastrami and corned beef.  Thanks.

Foodland do a decent pastrami, But your best shot is the gourmet deli in Siam Paragon

I have been searching for good corned beef and pastrami (like you get in NY or LA) in Thailand for 20 years now.  Have not found any yet.

Don't think you will.  As mentioned, the packaged stuff at Gourmet/Tops/Villa is about your only choices.

Could make your own, as really not that hard.  Patience is the hard part.  YT is your friend.

There's a place at the bottom of the stairs coming down from Asoke BTS and before the stairs going down to the MRT. Next to the donut shop.

I forgot the name, but they have a huge selection on meats. And homemade pizzas.

Thanks for your advice on this subject, friends.  All the places you mentioned are very convenient to me, so I'll be looking around at them.  Cheers!

Maybe the Central Food Hall (downstairs) at Chit Lom might be worth a visit.

Just import yourself from abroad. Many world wide deliveries for “home food” suppliers

I get mine over R24 supermarket in Germany:).

Especially not hard to make corned beef if you have access to the right 'block' of beef. Great for Sandwiches.

Mercado Sukhumvit Soi 21. Google for location details. You can also check out Villa Sukh. Soi 33/1

The food halls in Centralworld Malls are good. MQuartier has a good food hall and a good selection of deli stuffs.

Also smallish Gourmet Supermarket downstairs at Terminal 21. Recommend the Wagyu Beef sandwiches and the prepared hot soups if you are visiting.
