Featured Replies

Anyone have recommendations on cheap haircut places not too far from the soi Buakhao, soi Diana, soi Honey area? Just need my head shaved with clippers every few weeks.

  • Hundreds of places. God (if there is one) save Thailand from quality tourists who need recommendations for a barber.

  • It's a sad indictment of our times that the comb over that served our forefathers so well is no longer considered to be an option.

  • Come on...you can buy a clipper at Lazada for as little as 300.

It will be 150 baht at most.... (120 to Thais.... sometimes understanding a bit of Thai can be a negative).....Near the old R-Con corner on Buakhao.

Depends how many hairs you have left, I'd rather let a barber do it for 100+, much easier

Ladies and aircon.....

The old pic shows and old price by the way!

My haircut costs me 60 baht and the guy uses scissors and a trimmer. Also air con available in the hot season.

It's been the same price for several years but this is Isaan so I guess not too many can afford alot more.

School kids is 40 baht.

Good point, a few years ago i was sick of seeing bald falang, i longed to see the comb over

I bought my own set of clippers many years ago.  It came with a lot of attachments for cutting your hair to a certain length plus a left and right ear taper.  The longest is 25mm and there are attachments with fixed length increments all the way down to zero.

If I had longer hair then I would definitely go to a local barber.  Since I keep my hair fairly short I can just do this once a month or so.

I cut my own hair by shears and a comb every week. And not only save some but also I'm more satisfied with my own cut. I paid a few times and never received a good haircut when I was just a tourist. I tried some of those shops at MBK, terrible cut for ฿300 15 years ago.

GF told me yesterday a haicut for her teenage son was now 150 Baht. It looks like the days of the 100 Baht haircuts in Pattaya are over. Reminds me of the times when haircut used to cost 20 Baht in the village with a view of the rice fields and coconut trees. Clippers are availavle to buy on Lazada but not sure I would want to DIY.

During Covid isolation I let the TGF have at it with the Wahl clippers.....not a great job, might as well take it down to the wood....so I stopped shaving and got that upside down head look.

70 baht for haircut… shave 30 baht … get on the bus gus… lots of small towns and wide open space…

people are pretty nice as long as you’re nice…

I went to that barber once years ago. Horrible experience. Showed the barber a picture and he said Chai and ok. Ended up just shaving my head to a complete buzz cut. Never again!

Showing photos always leads to disappointment, but most barbers on Buakhao aren't comfortable with scissors, only clippers

Probably a Baldie showing a Photo of Chewbacca and expecting miracles.
