To add, 100 percent Musk is anti LGBT (like the right wing in general including Putin who is obsessed). Remember his disgusting attack on the British cave boy rescuer in Thailand

He accused  Vern the cave diver of being a paedophile . I don't think that that category is included in the LGBT+ letters

It was 50 000 tweets from 300 people .

"More than 50,000 Tweets repeatedly using a particular slur came from just 300 accounts."

So what we can ascertain from your copy and paste is that you’ve completely ignored the points I brought up and which are missing data from the tweet. A tweet from a twitter employee who makes a claim with not details to back it up. Is mindful of the huge damage it can do to twitter and advertisers. You have even ignored the only other scenario possible. That the have already deleted the tweets as they class them as hate speech so this twitter platform will indeed be heavily moderated. I can only hope that is true.

The Musk.effect.

Great quote:

“I do not trust Musk and his seemingly infinite immaturity. I do not think Twitter will fall apart instantly but that it could die a slow death. Why waste more time?"

Power user Nibel.

Quit Twitter because of Musk.

Smart move by Elon.

it's finally going to be profitable.

Tweets from the Kardashians gets boring.

Can you share with us his plans? As part of the takeover Twitter was saddled with 13 billion in debt. That's going to cost about 1 billion per year just to service. Major advertisers have threatened to leave if he opens up the floodgates to trolls. There's really nothing to stop others from leaving and going to another social media venue if the service turns into a hellscape. He seems very dependent on those whom he can least afford to alienate.

Maybe some liberal billionaire will buy Truth Social or Parler to give refugees a haven.. Given how poorly those two social media ventures are  faring, If they were up for sale they would fetch a very low price..

Takeovers of listed companies are generally at a 30-40% premium(Musk's takeover of Twitter was at a 38% premium to the sp pre takeover) to the value of the shares pre takeover. Current value of Truth Social is $620m. So, a takeover, if one were to happen, would be for + or - $1 BILLION. Is $1bn a "very low price" for you?

Checked Mr. Starbuck's account. Perhaps this is what the article meant by transphobic and misinformation:

People who want porn in school libraries are groomers.

Pedophiles should face the death penalty in court.

Men are born with a penis and Women are born with vaginas.

Only narcissists demand their own pronouns

Men can't menstruate or get pregnant

Women's spaces should be left for women only, not people with penises

In any case, if you don't like Twitter, you are more than welcome to start your own social media platform.

Or just ignore it, as social media itself is toxic

Nonsense. That  works for stocks where buyers think the stocks are underpriced relative to earnings, potential earning or possible sales of assets. But that's clearly not the case for either Twitter or Truth Social.

You are compounding your error. I already pointed out to you that Musk purchased Twitter at a 38% premium to the existing share price.

Made him look somewhat childish though, just because his silly idea was shown to be such.

After trying really hard for months to wriggle out of the deal that he had been warned against making?  Who in their right mind waives due diligence? Only after it was apparent even to him that that his legal case had virtually no chance, that Chancery Court in Delaware wasn't going to be swayed by theatrics, did he finally go ahead with the deal. And the reason that sensible takeovers deals usually end up with a high premium is because of competition. Other potential buyers see the benefit and pile in. The company to be bought plays them against each other. Maybe you know of other companies that were competing against Musk, but I don't think anyone else does.

Another sleazy thing Musk is up to. He's using Tesla employees to help him figure out what to do with Twitter. Unlike Twitter, Tesla is a public company. Musk doesn't own it. Now, maybe those Tesla employees were just lounging about doing nothing?  Musk really isn't known for putting up with that kind of behavior.

"According to internal records viewed by CNBC, employees from Musk's other companies are now authorized to work at Twitter. New Twitter owner Elon Musk has pulled more than 50 of his trusted Tesla employees, mostly software engineers from the Autopilot team, into his Twitter takeover, CNBC has learned."

Musk is using his Tesla tech chiefs to help him inspect Twitter—and that could be misappropriating corporate assets

Elon Musk is reportedly engaging Tesla software engineers to improve Twitter, diverting shareholder resources to help him with his own personal investment.

Bringing in outside help highlights the raft of problems Musk is inheriting with Thursday’s purchase of a platform he first wanted, then didn’t want, and finally bought for $44 billion after a court left him no other choice.

Top European official: if Twitter ignores the law, penalties will 'haunt' Elon Musk

COPENHAGEN, Denmark — The European Union's competition czar has a message for Twitter's new boss Elon Musk: We are watching you.

Since the Tesla CEO took ownership of the social network last week promising, among other changes, to loosen up rules around what people can post to Twitter, authorities in Europe have been standing by for any signs that Twitter may run afoul of European speech laws.

"There is a European rulebook, and you should live by it," said Margrethe Vestager, the European Commission's executive vice president who oversees digital policy for the 27-nation bloc, in her first interview since Musk took over Twitter.

No wonder they were so determined to sell that IMO toxic site.

Who says that they were determined? They certainly weren't determined to sell before Musk made his ridiculously inflated offer. They weren't offering Twitter for sale.  In fact, at first they resisted before capitalizing on their immense good fortune and Musk's overpriced offer.  And the European rules jibe with the current rules in America. There was no indication that Twitter wanted to loosen those rules. In fact, given the threats by advertisers to abandon Twitter if Musk unleashes the hellscape, the European rules actually worked in Twitter's financial favor.

The blue tick charges are causing some backlash, Musk claims its the only way to raise money to solve the bots and trolls.....................lol

Elon Musk reacts to Stephen King saying he won’t pay for Twitter blue check

“$20 a month to keep my blue check?” King tweeted. “F–k that, they should pay me.”

“We need to pay the bills somehow!” Musk wrote to King. “Twitter cannot rely entirely on advertisers. How about $8?”

The company’s most recent earnings report showed a net loss of $270 million — a sharp swing from the $66 million in profit from a year prior.

I am not a big fan of Musk.  He is, by his own admission, on the Autism spectrum.   That might be a part of his genius when it comes to his endeavors in science, as demonstrated by both Tesla and Space X.   He's not an admirable human being in other aspects of his life, and I don't think he has the proper mentality to run something like Twitter.

Exactly. It's an atrociously bad fit and he lacked the self awareness to realize that before he bought on the role.

Musk is clearly looking for some magic formula that won't make a liar out of him. On the one hand, he promised to stop censoring tweets and canceling tweeters. On the other hand, major advertisers don't want to advertise in a toxic environment. Right now, 90% of Twitter's revenues come from advertising. And why should advertisers trust someone who's social media presence is pockmarked with trolling?

... might still work though, if only QAnon & KKK have a big enough advertising budget, 555 ...

If it fails I doubt it will be missed by many.

A certain person must be having a good laugh at the trouble the site is having.

This is correct.

He also, during his alleged share manipulation antics, made two offers, the first $13Billion below the price he eventually paid, the second $11Billon less.

It can be reasonably assumed he paid a vastly higher price than he wanted to.

Now he has a problem. He needs to turn a profit.

The profit is in advertising, and outside ‘The Pillow Guy’ what business is going to want it’s name alongside a constant stream of hate mongering?

While over the horizon there are calls on both sides of the political spectrum to break up ‘Big Social Media’.

Musk has bought himself a headache.
