In the previous post I seemed to join a developing debate about over reliance on chemical vs natural cures.  That was not my intention.  I agree with previous posters who press the importance of diet and exercise.  Drugs are not an alternative.  But some drugs can provide an additional boost.  One in fact that I use is metformin, prescribed for diabetes 2 which I don't have, but recommended in David Sinclair's "Lifespan:  Why we age--and why we don't have to" for life extension.

I absolutely do not understand why anyone would take any pharmaceutical when they do not need to.

Metformin has side effects such as nausea and diarrhea. It also has the potential to cause lactic acidosis, which in turn gives rise to severe kidney damage. When did you last have an eGFR measurement?

Avoiding Type 2 diabetes naturally is simple. Stop eating any form of sugar, lose weight and eat foods low in carbohydrate load. Execution is more difficult for those without mental discipline.

As I wrote above, I do not have diabetes 2.  Not even close.  I am thin, eat well, and avoid sugar.  For the reason, see David Sinclair's LIFESPAN.  It's a case for glucose and calorie reduction extending life.  I can't do the medical argument justice in a post but I urge you to read it.  I've been doing it for about two years and feel great.  Everyone says I look younger.

Viagra and Cialis were originally developed to treat hypertension. Their use for erectile dysfunction came later.

For someone with normal blood pressure, both drugs can give rise to hypotension, symptoms include dizziness, fainting and nausea.

For years I took daily cialis, flomax, and finesteride, for prostate hyperplasia.  A new urologist said I should only take two of the three.  So I dropped flomax because I have long felt happily vigorous with the cialis.  I have low to normal blood pressure.

Maybe I'm wrong here, but this is just the way I think, but  if I thought there was any risk of being assaulted by someone on the next seat on a plane, I would hit him on the face as hard as I could then plead self defense. The flight attendants will already have him weighed up, so they will be on your side.

Inagreed on your later posts, but not this one. Hit someone is the very last thing I would do to protect myself or anyone close to me in self defense.

Also previous army and security trained as well boxing since 12 years as well thai boxing in my later days.

Anyway there is no way I believe Im in shape in my mid 50'ies to pick a fight with anyone without knowing their background and capabilities. Going around and believe you are immortal is just plain stupidity.

My experience from being security, was that the absolutely worst age to face, drunk men in their 50'ies, and if they brought their crazy wife along, a disaster.

I take 5 mg of finasteride and 1 mg of cardura daily for BPH.

If I take Viagra to counteract the libido-depressant effect of finasteride, my BP drops to 75/45. For about 24 hours. That has scared me off trying Cialis.

In my younger days, I trained with a guy who was the South Pacific Open jiu jitsu champion. Two or three years running. He was a genuine hard man.

The very first lesson I got from him was in any form of confrontation, the first and best option was to walk away.

I am in my 80s. I am surprised some (younger) here are talking about sexual activity, such urges disappeared a long time ago for me. Makes life much simpler and much cheaper.

I looked up Dr. Sinclair's website. The number of drugs and supplements he takes is quite astounding.

Dr. Sinclair is 53 years old. If he gets to my age (79) without seriously damaging his kidneys with the cocktail he consumes, I will be very surprised. Perhaps not, as I doubt I'll be here by then.

I hope I never lose said urges, life is more interesting with them.

Can't disagree with the last sentence, though.

It is a relief to hear, but I believe it takes me dome years to adopt to the idea of no more sex. Anyway, when Im 80, wife is 63, and if she is still sexual active, what then? Need to accept she will have a toyboy then?

All the women I have known possessed breasts, a clitoris and a G-spot, although admittedly it took me many years to understand how they could be manipulated to orgasm, no stiff todger necessary.

Women do not buy vibrators for ornamental purposes.

Recently, in a discussion on a fitness-oriented Twitter feed about health/longevity gurus whose appearance hasn't aged well, Sinclair was mentioned as an example. FWIW, of course. Paleo guru Mark Sisson looks great, but he's always kept extremely fit (former athlete) and he's on TRT.

I guess my generation was better off, and touch sensitive areas, breast’s and clitoris was the first thing I had the pleasure of knowing before any penetration 14 years old. Also been lucky to be attracted to older women while younger, and pretty much been steady on their age 30 - 35 until now.

Still if Im loosing my interest for sex, I think I would let her have the pleasure to have a side kick if she felt the need. Same for me if she would die sexually before me, I will have a side kick hopefully with permission.

Toys, yes. And you can help with those. Happy wife.????

LOL. The ability vanished years ago but the desire did not. I wish it had.

I'd agree with that, with one stipulation. Any toy boy has to use condoms, oral sex included. Don't need an STD at my age.

to avoid the need for healthcare as long as possible. And that should best start in your 50s if not before

The terrible thing is that Thai hospitals will only treat you for what you can afford - you could end up just wasting away in a bed until they ca dispose of you legally.

Get on Thai SS before you're 60.

There is more to making love ( as compared to rutting like a dog ) than a stiffy.

In lesson 2 you'll learn they are by far the best at manipulating that clitoris themselves. Lesson 3 will be to learn your proper role in facilitation to ensure a mind-boggling successful result. Course finished.

At least I know sex can be sex, and it can be anything you want to imagine. If I loose interest, I mean I lost interest in sex, and have no energy to serve her needs, I would be as generous as I hope she will be to me. I would say being earnest, open and flexible can save many marriages that still have love with them for each other.

If one truly loves her, one will do whatever is necessary to make her happy including faking an interest. We all know that women fake it to make us think we are superman in bed.

Fake it to you make it. I believe we all have our experiences. Sex is one of the more brain stimulation game we can take part in. Both visually, sound, as well closed eyes fantasies with words to help each other. Trust is a huge factor, as well be able to play games the longer a relationship last. Pure love is nice, but it needs inspiration to keep that feeling alive.

You know you love someone when your feeling grows for them by the years passing on.

Sex is the most over rated human activity IMO, gets to be boring and something I would rather avoid in my 70's, was not that bothered before. Having a good dump is far more enjoyable, and less messy. ????

And something they would rather you avoid, too. Just hand over the money. All good.

I qualified for Thai national health for a few years. It's not enough.

If you think you can avoid the need fir healthcare, you probably already need healthcare

Exit plan  return medical flight can be 20 to 40000. Then when repatriated, you need to qualify for healthcare in your home country. If you survive that you may then need somewhere to live in your home country. Property if course is much more expensive than in Thailand so is rent and care assistants.......

A self-serving contradiction, as you're actually not being generous. No energy. What are you, intubated on your deathbed?

I'm finding it enough.???? Consultations at pvt hsps don't cost all that much. Use the heavy artillery in the (good) gov't hsp of registration when needed.

You're showing all the signs of a disaster waiting to happen.
