Agree ... Tulsa King is excellent.   Watched all available last night.

Highly recommend.  Oh yea, for others ...  the trailer sucks, as had no desire to watch after viewing the trailer, and nothing what I expected, thankfully.

 

Without B2's recommendation, I would have given it a pass, and a missed opportunity.

I watched A Spy Among Friends a couple of weeks ago and enjoyed it. Worth watching IMHO. I'm also a fan of Damian Lewis & Guy Pearce.

I watched the first episode of The Peripheral - and didn’t find it of great interest, but glad I took the time to rewatch from the start, really into it.

Mr. Harrigan's Phone is a Stephen King story based movie and quite a good one. The trailer makes it seem as if there are super scary parts and I think that's misleading. It's more of a head trip type of thing and for me an enjoyable one.

I've just watched the first 3 (of 4) episodes of season 1 of Without Sin. Very good and well worth a look IMHO. It's a crime drama based in Mansfield/Nottinghamshire. Cast includes Vicky McClure (Line of Duty) I got it from TGx.

Dalgliesh. Based on the PD James novels. Bertie Carvel as the title character fits the part well. Each case is a two parter with a total of six episodes. There is a little wokeness but it doesn't become overwhelming.

It's a HIT.

 

Now in it's second season, it has become a very popular (and in my opinion worthy) comedic show that is rivalling the previous popularity of Modern Family. 

 

It's mostly about the teacher's characters in an inner city Philadelphia school and they are really fun characters to watch.  It's even better for me because I get all the Philly references but not at all required.

Manifesto Of A Serial Killer

+1 for Kaleidoscope. Recommend reading about it, sans spoilers, to determine the best order - episodes are titled by colors and can be watched in any order - for YOU to watch. I took it straight up, as Netflix offered. Brilliant ensemble cast led by Giancarlo Esposito.

 

Glass Onion, OK. 7.5/10

 

Wednesday awesome 9.5/10

 

The Recruit 8/10, likeable spy romp.

 

Traitor, so-so 7/10.

 

Slow Horses, part 2, 9.5/10. Love this show, as close to LeCarre as possible, maybe it's because Gary Oldman also protrayed George Smiley. I must read the books.

 

 

Loving the Taylor Sheridan Streaming Network...1883, 1923, Yellowstone...Tulsa King...Mayor of Kingstown Season 2 coming soon, prayers for Jeremy Renner to make a full recovery.

 

I liked The Peripheral.

 

Will watch Jack Ryan part 3.

Yellowstone (modern day cowboys, but am getting a bit bored with the latest installment)

Started LIVINENKO on ITVx, but noticed a few 'inconsisitencies' in it. So on ITVx there is also a  documentary on it, with interviews with original cops etc and clips from the Series.

48 minutes and it was sorted as opposed to 8 episodes of 'imaginary' dialogue.

I only just noticed CastleRock, still showing on Netflix. watched season i (aka Part 1) but not impressed. Season 2 was pretty wild with the misguided character/star going in and out of la-la land. Impressive performance  the ending detoured into familiar Steven King nuttiness. overall, a fair show. Has anyone watched season 3 ??

Me, I think the action peters out around E03 and I gave up. Awful lot of talking and arbitrary sci-fi gadgets and jargon, rather like William Gibson's novels. Stereotypical sadistic villain. Had great potential.
