Popular Post webfact Posted January 10, 2023 Popular Post Posted January 10, 2023 Picture: Thai Rath The wealthy tycoon who drove his 20 million baht+ Bentley into a Pajero on the Bangkok expressway told police at the scene that he couldn't blow into the DUI meter because of chest pains. He was concerned he wouldn't have enough puff to give a reading. So it was agreed that he would have a blood test for alcohol at the police hospital. However, there is a discrepancy. While the accident occurred at 12.35 am on Sunday it wasn't until 5 am before the Bentley driver was tested. Police are investigating claims that the suspect was allowed to leave by taxi. Results of the blood test and drugs tests are due today. Met traffic chief and deputy Pol Maj-Gen Jirasan Kaewsaeng-ek said that all police procedures were above board and transparent. A blood test was fine. Forensics were investigating whether speeding played a part. So far the suspect has just been charged with driving causing damage and injury. The extent of the injuries will inform whether charges are upgraded. Eight were taken to hospital five of whom have now gone home. Three remain resting in hospital, reported Thai Rath. Jirasan confirmed that the Bentley driver had requested a blood test rather than a breath test due to chest pains. Alcohol remains in the blood a long time, he said, in response to press questions about the time it took between the accident and the taking of blood; four and a half hours. There was no evidence so far of tax irregularities on the Bentley. The driver would get 4 points off his licence for DUI if guilty. In other reports the tycoon has offered to pay everyone's expenses in the smash that also involved a fire truck. Many will be waiting, however, for the results of those Police Hospital blood tests due today. But TIT.. Correct....but a few minutes later. My brother a cop in Canada just said if he had complained of the chest pains at home, but was able to communicate that well enough to an officer, they would call/notify the ambulance right away to transport him and as soon as he was wheeled into that hospital, his first stop would be the blood-withdrawal room. But for here......we all know, that don't happen as TIT !! 4
Popular Post aussienam Posted January 10, 2023 Popular Post Posted January 10, 2023 Seems Thai police have a different view to other countries on reasonable time for taking blood alcohol readings. Two hours I believe is a standard. Blood alcohol concentrations reduce by 0.015 per hour. He had several hours to potentially drop from mid/low range to legal limit. Very convenient delay for the very wealthy driver. Hmm. Me thinks maybe something going on. 4 1 1
malthebluff Posted January 10, 2023 Posted January 10, 2023 Accident while drunk ( if he was ) and only 4 points any other country you would see a prison sentence. Yes results may stay in blood with alcohol but after 5 hours must drugs dont

Popular Post DjSilver Posted January 10, 2023 Popular Post Posted January 10, 2023 So this was a rich Thai in other words? If it had been a foreigner the Thai legal system wouldn't have needed any evidence, just another Thai to say what they think. Racist as ever. 2 2
