Salary for Thai workers in Thailand

On average, what are the salary ranges for Thai workers?

From what I can tell Bangkok workers will earn more than any other locations given the cost of living here.

Where do workers earn the second/third/fourth highest, must be between Pattaya and Phuket?

 

How much does someone who works at reception in a hotel earn?

 

How much does a real estate agent earn?

 

How much does a department store worker earn?

 

How much does a restaurant/bar waiting staff earn?

 

How much does bank staff earn? 

 

How much does a local teacher earn?

 

How much does a nurse/doctor/dentist earn?

 

How much does a pharmacist/lawyer/accountant earn?

 

I know this is not a clear question to answer as one accountant could earn 25k a month while another could earn 50k because of qualifications and experience. Ive done a google search but Im not sure I trust the results am more interesting to hear from first hand experience of people who know people in any given position to get a better grasp of the subject.

Like I said in the post what Im hoping is to get first hand experience.

I don't consider this anecdotal.

My husband/wife/gf/friend is an X and earns X.

I know from past searches of salaries in my own field online they are usually not accurate.

You have answered your own question. Like anywhere in the world all the salaries vary. No way you can get a definite answer.

Very true... from some odd reason, online salary searches are way off the mark.

 

There have been similar threads on this forum regarding income for Thai’s so a specific forum search may help (its probably best to search in google and include ‘Aseannow’ as the Aseannow search itself is rather useless).

The Thai workforce is about 32 million people, even if you receive a couple of dozen actual salaries from AN members they will of course be anecdotal because you will have missed the rest! But, up to you as they say.

Depends on one's skill set, along with supply & demand of, in any location.  That's a  long piece of string with too many variables. 

 

There is a minimum wage scale by law, with Bangkok, Phuket, Chonburi and maybe Chiang Mai provinces edging out the rest of the country by a bit.  But nothing anyone wants to try to live on.

We started out in a Isaan village 4 years ago giving farm and  construction workers 300,- baht a day + lunch with one energy and cold water during the day. "Specialists" 600,- a day

 

Now we have to offer 500-600,- for the local "specialist" about the same price, no increase for them. Even they use their own tools.

That's interesting. Why the increase - Due to cost of living/inflation increases, competitions for workers or something else?

Availability for workers who can work and is reliable. Our district had a positive development actually during covid, where people came back home and started up business, bought land and building homes. The land prices almost doubled as well, and farmland being used for houses now.

 

So something positive happend during covid in our district.
