Thai Rath reported that three secondary schoolboys were caught playing truant (playing hooky) in the woods behind their school in the north east of Thailand yesterday.

 

The boys - named as A,B and C in M2, M3 and M4 - were smoking weed and drinking krathom tea. 

 

Chaloem Phra Kiat police and teachers were alerted by a member of the public and went to the woods to investigate.

 

In a bag the cops found a knife and chopping board and devices for smoking.

 

The children - who would have been in their teens - were taken to the police station where their details were recorded.

 

Teachers said they were often late to class or didn't attend school at all.

 

The boys said they saw weed growing everywhere and krathom for sale on the roadside and thought it was all legal. 

 

Following their ticking off at the station their parents were called.

Are they wearing bulletproof vests for this ? 

Thailand's police caught with their pants down .......on a different thread.  These lads were smoking weed glad they weren't caught with their pants down.

They appear to be quality candidates for the police force in a few years.

This type of behavior in teenagers unfortunately is common in a lot of parts of the world.  Not just Thailand

Especially in parts where you find weed growing freely and kratom tea being sold by the roadside !????

Thank goodness they were not vaping or it could have meant prison, or 27k????

I agree but the lower end which I will generalize the majority here in Thailand as in this story they have very little chance there isn't a second. Even in government being boys as noted " don't attend " it all ends at 15 with school with their grades alternative is a trade school If they get it and attend.  if not already they are drinking staying out not even going home.

In the west there are programs trade unions service jobs that pay more than Doctors make here.  

Here these kids are all over where I live,  many kids 5 and up playing on the Soi parents can't afford to take them to school.

Nothing I didn't do, except alcohol instead of tea, when I was 14 ish yrs old.

Why the uproar? They went to school. They just didn't go inside.

Lesson learned.

 

If you want to smoke weed in the woods behind the school first go to classes then after school when everyone is eating snacks in front of the school waiting for their parents to pick them up...

 

THEN go behind the school and toke up.  No one will notice. ????
