Or just move.

Yes it is, but that law doesnt seem to regulate weed. Was in a busy tourist district in Bangkok at a popular french restaurant, and guess what? They smoked weed with tobacco in public.

I hate smokers when I want to eat, especially when eating breakfest and someone lightning a cigarette on the next table. I used to tell them off, but I gave up, and the end result, we are not going back there next time because they let people smoke.

im from colorado where its legal and the legalization creates a two tier society.  the wealthy straights and the poor stoners.

Would being a grass help your religious studies?

Must be a dump if they allow smoking in the rooms.

just head out to the balcony and smash some cones with old mate. probably a faster way to achieve enlightenment then that meditation nonsense.

Classic case of 'never buy in Thailand, only ever rent'...........you are never going to stop him.

Where did he say he owned or rented in the OP. As it is a guest house the OP has a reason to cancel his rental and move. Move would be my answer....

Maybe you should take a course in a MuayThai instead of your present hobbies.

There will always be those who are more crazy stronger and willing to go further than you! Never forget that, and never underestimate your opponent!

There is always one who is willing to make your life a hell if you trying to make a move! And who is willing to spend time in Bangkok Hilton if deleted happens?

You can report him to the authorities and he'll get fined. They are allowed to smoke as far as it doesn't cause a nuisance to others in the surrounding area, which they clearly are based on your post.

nope.. only applies to public consumption.

the stoner is in his own room.

the police dont care aboutt hings like this.........reporting him will only alert them to you and you dont want that. They don't like snitches.

Or he can't understand any language?

ice cream cones, are you serious bro? you don't know what a cone is in the context of this discussion about weed, are you like five years old dude?

as for meditation, I've got nothing against it but you sound completely pretentious for mentioning it. you're like my vegetarian (ex-)friend who won't shut up about it.

you definitely need to head to the balcony and mull up with this stoner...

it starts at 7 am when i go my meditation practice.  who the heck smokes weed at 7 am?

who the hell meditates at 7am?

You said he is smoking on the common balcony. Are you mediating in the common area as well?

Ask for a room change?

A 4-star hotel would be sympathetic to your request, if not flat out ban the guy from smoking in a common area.

When you book a guesthouse in Pai or Ko Pha Ngan you should expect to be around a bit of pot smoke.

Buddhists believe all of the things a person goes through in life cause suffering and they cannot do anything about it. Instead, they have to accept that it is there.

Take this as a task in your meditation to accept your neighbor and learn from the experience.

Do you deny it is a problem? Intoxicated and driving causing accidents, and the more available the more accidents?

i guess over time their will be stoner hotels?

This is too ridiculous.  This has to be a troll post.  Who else will take the bait?

2 hours ago, yogavnture said:

i think hotels should have a policy of no weed smoking in the hotel. if the weed smokers want to get high they can go out to the street. its legal now

It's illegal to smoke in the street...afaik
