I am coming to Pattaya for a few days this week and would like to purchase a recliner chair for 

about 6,000 bhat 

 

Does anybody have some info on what shops I should visit or where I can get one

Not long as you get what you pay for. Check the size as well. Often they are quite small "Asian" style.

the ones in massage shops are quite big, sometimes for sale on Facebook marketplace 

    The already mentioned stores plus Chic Republic, Lifestyle furniture at Boonthavorn, and possibly Mega Furniture.  If I had to choose just one stop I'd go with Index.

Don't forget there are 2 Homepro shops... Big-CX and Sukhumvit.

IMO you are not going to get one that will last for that price. I’d suggest paying a bit more and getting something that will be comfortable and last awhile. If you’re tight on money check Facebook marketplace. 

Took these myself just a week ago before leaving so I could shop around online/compare/purchase one myself on return. Lotus Pattaya South:

 

There's a Lazyboy shop on the way out of town towards Bangers, but you won't get a new one for 6k. Looks like the one in Lotus's is a bargain (see mushroomdave above).
