THE OWNER of a car repair garage in Udon Thani this afternoon (Mar. 5) set his sedan on fire after recurring problems with the electrical system and said afterwards he has no regrets and is much happier, TV Channel 7 said.

At 1.30 p.m.  Pol. Lt. Col. Bamrung Naebchidchai, deputy chief of  Ban Phue police station, was alerted of a car ablaze at an empty land plot next to the car repair garage on Ban Phue – Nam Som road and called the Fire Department to send a team to put it out.

When firemen arrived they saw the red sedan’s engine burning fiercely and took about 20 minutes to extinguish the fire that had also burnt the grass in the empty plot but had not spread any further.

So what does that say about repair garages ability?

Imagine to be this guys wife or children

White it looks much nicer. But I can imagine that he had problems with the electrics. I just have to look at my electrical installation in my condo. Two wires are simply too complicated for many electricians here. Good that they don't use an extra ground wire.

Well that's stuffed his car repair business!.....

Maybe the poor man was colour blind. could not tell the difference between green and red like most Thai drivers at traffic loights

Most electricians only have three wire to connect to a motor and only have a 50% chance it will run in the correct direction????

Pol. Lt. Col. Bamrung told Panya that it is not illegal to set fire to one’s own property but this must not disturb or trouble the neighbours nor should the blaze spread to their houses.

So while it's not illegal, who will pay for the waste of time and effort of the firemen who came to put off the fire ??

Who called them? I doubt he did....it was his fire and he wanted it ????

There are cheaper alternatives :

Reminds me of when I told my parents I refused to learn to play guitar, because I did not like the music teacher they found for me. My guitar must have felt really hurt. And who else became an injured party to that deal?
